Music Performance with a concentration in Performance
The Music Performance degree is a professional degree for students who wish to pursue a career in music. Students interested in a B.M. degree may choose between concentrations in: Performance, Composition, Jazz Studies and Acoustic and Electronic Music. This degree program requires 120 credit hours of study that include private study on the student’s principle instrument and participation in ensembles. Additionally, students complete music theory, history and literature sequences, and take additional coursework in their chosen concentration. Graduates from BM programs at USF find themselves in very competitive positions for graduate study and musical careers. Admission into the BM in music degree requires an audition on your major instrument.

Through its curriculum and production program, students have the opportunity to prepare for a professional career in the theatre or to continue their studies at the graduate level. Our exclusively undergraduate program boasts intensive studies in the disciplines of performance, design and theatre arts as well as a close working relationship with our nationally and internationally recognized faculty.

This program has been certified as a Global Pathway. Global Pathway programs have significant global content and align with the goals of USF’s Quality Enhancement Plan, the Global Citizens Project. Students in Global Pathway programs are well positioned to earn the Global Citizen Award and become eligible to apply for a study abroad scholarship offered by the Global Citizens Project.

World Language and Cultures with a concentration in Classics
The Bachelor of Arts in World Languages and Cultures offers students a solid foundation in language and linguistic skills, as well as knowledge of diverse cultures. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to interact and participate in a global environment.

The major leading to the accredited Master of Architecture  degree is intended for students who have completed baccalaureate degrees in architecure or pre-professional majors.  Students with non-architectural majors or with a pre­ professional undergraduate major may also enter the program once pre-requisites are completed.. The comprehensive and rigorous curriculum prepares graduates for a full range of professional activities. The course of study emphasizes urban architecture and related topics to take advantage of its diverse metropolitan setting in Florida’s Tampa Bay.

The School of Architecture  and Community Design (SACD) is home to the Florida Center for Community Design and Research, is a non-profit public service institute  of the School of Architecture and Community Design. It was founded in 1986 to  assist the  citizens of Florida in the  creation  of more  livable and sustainable communities  through  applied community  design, multi-disciplinary research, and public education. The diverse staff includes architecture faculty and students,research scientists, and programmer analysts. In addition, the Center has affiliated faculty or graduate students from the Department of Anthropology, Biology, Fine Arts, Geography, and Social Work.

Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering take coursework in advanced chemistry, thermodynamics, fluids, heat, and mass transfer, numerical methods, separation processes, reacting systems, instrumentation, control, and plant and product design. Students must also satisfactorily complete a design project as part of their major. Chemical engineering students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 in required departmental courses. Therefore, it is imperative that the students retain close contact with their advisor. Students completing this major normally initiate their careers in manufacturing, environmental, and biological enterprises. Chemical engineers are found in administrative, technical, and research positions in these industries. Main products of these industries are petrochemicals, polymers, fibers, natural and synthetic fuels, electronic materials, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, bio-materials, etc.

Chemistry
The Chemistry B.A. gives students exposure to analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry while providing the flexibility to take additional elective courses. Students interested in professional, law, or graduate school or those who anticipate working in careers related to secondary education or business will find this degree attractive. The B.A. student whose goals include graduate study should supplement this curriculum by addition and/or substitution of a selection of advanced courses from the B.S. program. The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry provides opportunities for curricula individually tailored to meet many career objectives.

The B.A. program is designed for students who are not currently planning to attend physics graduate school and/or who want to pursue parallel studies in other fields such as mathematics, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, business, pre-med, pre-law, and teacher education.

Graphic Arts with Illustration Concentration
The Graphic Arts degree offers students a sequence of rigorous courses that balance critical thinking and pragmatic experience, complemented by the enriched experience of the liberal arts environment of the University of South Florida.

Graphic artists develop the images that give voice to the world around us. Using their raw materials - the ability to think, draw, write, speak and design - students learn the skills to solve specific visual problems. The study of typography, design concepts, and digital technology develops an understanding of the tradition, practice, and process of graphic design.

This program guides students in building the imagination, aesthetic sensitivity, and powers of critical thought required to succeed as visual communicators. The curriculum emphasizes expertise in image development, typography, print and screen-based graphics, and interactive design. The program prepares students for the rigor of professional design practice through an internship program, courses in production, and portfolio development. Additionally, students design, organize and promote an exhibition of their final senior project.

Electrical Engineering
The Electrical Engineering major offers study in all areas fundamental to the analysis, design, and development of electrical devices and systems. ?The areas covered by the major include foundational topics such as circuits and electrical power, to applications such as Internet of Things, Smart Grid, Security,  and Data Analytics. The major offers curriculum tracks that include: Bioelectrical Systems, Communication Systems, Energy, Power and Sustainability, Mechatronics, Robotics and Embedded Systems, Micro and Nano-scale Systems and Wireless Systems.
