Health Sciences with a concentration in Biological Health Sciences
This Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences is designed for those interested in health science, the health care industry and the allied health professions. The degree has a flexible curriculum so students may choose an area of specialization to suit their career interests. Career choices after graduation include working in health related nonprofit organizations, governmental and community agencies, medical records, patient education, geriatric care settings, diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, medical and wellness facilities and businesses. Students graduating with this degree may enter the workforce or continue their education in a variety of fields that might include advanced degree programs in Health Management, Physical or Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Health Administration, Healthcare Informatics, Communication Disorders and Social Work, to name a few. This degree has greater flexibility and students may have more exposure to social science, business and humanities courses than the more natural science- and mathematics-intensive degrees sometimes required for some health-based professional schools.

Mechanical Engineering-M.S.

The B.S. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics is a baccalaureate degree focusing on the more analytical and applied aspects of economics, including forecasting, program and business evaluation, benefit/cost analysis and economic impact analysis.

The M.A. in Art History provides students with training in art history, theory, and methods to prepare them for careers in art collections, education, and cultural institutions, as well as for further graduate study at the Ph.D. level. Courses are offered in art and architecture from antiquity to the present. We see art history as an integral part of social and cultural history in a global context, and our classes are interdisciplinary in scope. The major is unique in featuring small, intensive seminar-style courses. Students receive individual attention from an active, award-winning research faculty, who expose students to the most recent methodological and theoretical approaches in the field. Coursework can be supplemented by international travel and study-abroad programs sponsored by the School of Art and Art History. The Contemporary Art Museum, Graphicstudio Institute for Research in Art and the Kennedy Family Visiting Artist/Scholar program are all valuable resources contributing to course content, study and possible internship opportunities in the program.

Finance-M.S.
The Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance in the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida offers a Master of Science in Finance degree. The Master of Science in Finance is a specialized degree with a curriculum that emphasizes finance and economics.

The Master of Science in Finance offers an advanced education for individuals who are interested in pursuing careers in corporate finance, investments, financial services, and related areas.

Gerontology is the study of the process of human aging in all its aspects: physical, psychological, and social. The demographic imperative of an increasingly older age distribution will require graduates who have acquired an integrated base of knowledge and skills to deal with the complex challenges that will confront individuals, societies, and nations in the coming decades. The M.A. in Gerontology program emphasizes educating students who, in their professional careers, will work to sustain or improve the quality of life of older people. The ultimate goal of this program is to educate the next generation of practitioners and program personnel in the field of aging and gerontology and to prepare interested students for doctoral programs in aging and related fields.

Through its curriculum and production program, students have the opportunity to prepare for a professional career in the theatre or to continue their studies at the graduate level. Our exclusively undergraduate program boasts intensive studies in the disciplines of performance, design and theatre arts as well as a close working relationship with our nationally and internationally recognized faculty.

This program has been certified as a Global Pathway. Global Pathway programs have significant global content and align with the goals of USF’s Quality Enhancement Plan, the Global Citizens Project. Students in Global Pathway programs are well positioned to earn the Global Citizen Award and become eligible to apply for a study abroad scholarship offered by the Global Citizens Project.

Hospitality Management
The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, in School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (SHTL) at the Sarasota-Manatee campus location, prepares graduates for global leadership positions in the hospitality industry through foundational knowledge of hospitality operations and experiences that develop critical thinkers who promote diversity, ethical responsibility, lifelong learning, and community engagement.

Marine Biology
The undergraduate Marine Biology program explores the ecology of marine environments and the nature of organisms inhabiting the oceans. The objective of this program is to augment the students’ foundation in basic biology with specialized knowledge and skills in marine biology that address contemporary issues such as coastal resilience, coastal pollution, diseases of marine organisms and restoring damaged habitats. An emphasis on data collection and research methods in the field and laboratory will ready students for employment in places such as consulting firms, environmental agencies, aquaria, and parks, while also preparing them for graduate school.   Internships, undergraduate research experiences, upper-level seminars, and reading from the primary literature will develop critical thinking skills and prepare students to address the many complex issues in marine biology, thereby practicing critical thinking and the application of science to grand societal/economic challenges.

Electrical Engineering
The Electrical Engineering major offers study in all areas fundamental to the analysis, design, and development of electrical devices and systems. ?The areas covered by the major include foundational topics such as circuits and electrical power, to applications such as Internet of Things, Smart Grid, Security,  and Data Analytics. The major offers curriculum tracks that include: Bioelectrical Systems, Communication Systems, Energy, Power and Sustainability, Mechatronics, Robotics and Embedded Systems, Micro and Nano-scale Systems and Wireless Systems.
