Natural Sciences
The Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences degree serves the academic and career goals of undergraduate students who seek a broad education in the Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology). Students select a sequence of upper-level courses based on career goals, choosing three of the five natural science areas. Students interested in secondary education, public health, and other fields may choose this degree.

Gerontology is the study of the process of human aging in all its aspects: physical, psychological, and social. The demographic imperative of an increasingly older age distribution will require graduates who have acquired an integrated base of knowledge and skills to deal with the complex challenges that will confront individuals, societies, and nations in the coming decades. The M.A. in Gerontology program emphasizes educating students who, in their professional careers, will work to sustain or improve the quality of life of older people. The ultimate goal of this program is to educate the next generation of practitioners and program personnel in the field of aging and gerontology and to prepare interested students for doctoral programs in aging and related fields.

The nationally ranked MFA Degree Program in Art has been carefully designed as a course of study that will maximize the student’s potential for in depth investigation of his or her chosen artistic ideas, themes and /or media. Students are encouraged to acquire technical and conceptual skills in more than one medium or studio discipline and to work toward developing techniques that best communicate the content of their artistic pursuits.

Statistics-M.A.
The Statistics Faculty of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Florida currently consists of 5 members. There are more than 20 students seeking graduate degrees in statistics; the department supports approximately 15 of these students with Graduate Teaching Assistantships.

Research interests of the Faculty include: Applied Statistics, Branching Processes, and Stochastic Modeling.

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology offers students a well-rounded liberal arts education, relevant to many areas of study both inside and outside of the social and behavioral sciences. The program provides excellent training for qualified students who wish to pursue graduate work in such disciplines as Clinical, Cognitive and Neural Sciences or Industrial Psychology, Education, Gerontology, Counseling, Management, Medicine, Law, and other human service programs. The undergraduate program emphasizes the breadth of psychology while allowing students electives to pursue a particular aspect of the field in-depth.

Humanities and Cultural Studies with a concentration in Humanities
The Humanities program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that investigates the visual arts, music, and literature, and the cultures from which they emerge.

For international students interested in the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services, the Graduate Pathway in Economics leads to a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of South Florida. Economics-M.A.
The M.A. in Economics is a non-thesis degree designed to prepare students for positions in business or government or for further graduate work in an economics Ph.D. program.

The program consists of 30 hours of coursework plus the successful completion of an oral exam given before a committee of three members of the faculty. The 30 hours of coursework is comprised of 12 hours of required coursework, at least 12 hours of economics elective coursework, and no more than 6 hours of elective coursework drawn from outside of economics.

Architecture-M.Arch.
The USF School of Architecture & Community Design's curriculum prepares its graduates for a full range of professional activities. The Master of Architecture degree (M. Arch.) is fully accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The school's course of study emphasizes urban architecture and related topics to take advantage of its diverse metropolitan setting in Florida's Tampa Bay region. Its sequence of design studios provides an integrating element in a curriculum offering a broad mix of history, theory, technology, and professional practice along with an array of elective courses.

Global Sustainability-M.A.
The Patel College of Global Sustainability fosters sustainable urban communities and environments through collaborative research, education, and community engagement Its research generates innovations and new knowledge that help communities and nations around the world, including those in developing countries, to reduce their ecological footprint while improving their social, economic, and environmental sustainability parameters to make them healthier, more livable, equitable and more resilient

In this innovative 30 credit hour graduate major, the students will apply their passion for the environment with hands-on experiential learning through internships to find sustainability solutions. The major offers a multidisciplinary study of the environment and social and economic dimensions of sustainability, as well as training in research methodology to enable practitioners to make informed decisions and to create tangible change toward sustainable futures. All students are required to perform a mandatory internship in the public or private sector. Upon graduation, the students will be ready for careers in global sustainability that require a systems approach, teamwork, program planning, and policy development skills to solve sustainability issues in developing and developed nations.

The Biomedical Sciences degree serves as a gateway into a variety of health-professional programs such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Physician Assistant. Required courses include Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics. This degree provides the flexibility to choose advanced-level science coursework based on academic and professional interests. Students contemplating graduate study should pursue a major in the discipline of their interest, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology.
