Mathematics-M.A.
Our department has an impressive research record both in pure mathematics and in its applications to science and industry. Whether pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, our program trains students in the analytical skills needed to excel in the flourishing knowledge economy.

The Department of Chemistry offers Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, and Non-thesis Master of Arts degrees. The Chemistry graduate faculty is comprised of full-time senior faculty members, all holding the Ph.D. degree. The combination of a large and strong faculty with a wide variety of courses provides students with programs of study that can be tailored to fit individual needs, while maintaining a sound background in all general aspects of Chemistry. The excellent research facilities and low student-faculty ratio combine to afford unique opportunities for advanced study in Chemistry.

The Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy is designed to provide students the discipline-specific knowledge and transferable skills to understand the socio-cultural and political context in which environmental problems are created and ameliorated, as well as the scientific expertise to explore and analyze the consequences of ongoing environmental change. Students can specialize in wetlands and water, natural environments, climate and hazards, geographic information systems, or human-environment interaction. The program offers both thesis and professional tracks as courses of study.

Mass Communications-M.A.
The Master of Arts in Mass Communications degree requires 39 credit hours, including at least 30 hours of structured coursework and successful completion of a final thesis or applied research project. The Master of Arts in Mass Communications is earned through one of two concentrations: Media Studies or Strategic Communication Management.

The media studies concentration uses a broad approach to study mass media. This is ideal for students who wish to explore how media shapes the world and, in turn, how the world shapes the media.

The strategic communication track focuses on communication as a management function in an organization. This perspective integrates public relations, advertising, and marketing communication into a single focus.

International Year One will prepare you to enter the second year of University of South Florida's competitive undergraduate degree program in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression.

Information Technology
The Information Technology program focuses on programming, databases, networking, human-computer interaction, web systems, and cybersecurity to meet the technology requirements of business, government, healthcare, education, and other organizations. Students in this program acquire the right combination of fundamental knowledge and practical expertise to solve computing technology problems and meet user needs.

International Year One General will prepare you to enter the second year of a bachelor's degree program at the University of South Florida. Psychology
 The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology offers students a well-rounded liberal arts education, relevant to many areas of study both inside and outside of the social and behavioral sciences. The program provides excellent training for qualified students who wish to pursue graduate work in such disciplines as Clinical, Cognitive and Neural Sciences or Industrial Psychology, Education, Gerontology, Counseling, Management, Medicine, Law, and other human service programs. The undergraduate program emphasizes the breadth of psychology while allowing students electives to pursue a particular aspect of the field in-depth.

The B.A. degree in Music Studies is part of the Provost’s Scholars Program (PSP). This is a program in which qualified students who enter USF directly from high school with 18 or more credits will be offered the opportunity to complete their undergraduate education in 3 years. Each selected student will be provided preferred registration privileges so that critical courses are not closed when they register. They will be given summer scholarships if they need to take summer classes and will be given scholarships to help them participate in study abroad programs. PSP students will live in the Honors College Living/Learning Community year 1. Students will be offered the assistance of faculty or off campus mentors, depending upon career goals and will be encouraged to use the fourth year for graduate study here at USF. Participants will not need to take larger academic loads and can take advantage of all that USF has to offer.

The Bachelor of Arts program is designed primarily for the liberal arts student who has an interest in careers in Geoscience education or environmental policy and law. A student who elects the B.A. program and decides to pursue the geology profession or attend graduate school will need at least field geology in his/her program.

The M.S. in Finance offers a curriculum that concentrates on both finance and economics concepts. Students who complete the M.S. in Finance will be better prepared to succeed in careers in the financial world, especially in positions that require specialized knowledge about various finance topics.
