The Advertising concentration within the Communication major is geared toward our students focused on careers in advertising, whether their interest lies in creative, media, strategy, or account management. This concentration provides hands-on exposure to the industry, giving you a competitive edge when you enter the field after graduation.

The Public Relations concentration of the Communication major is geared toward our students who are interested in careers in Public Relations and related fields, resulting in career paths from Social Media Specialists to Corporate Communication Directors. Our program combines essential learnings that introduce and hone skills in courses like Campaign Management, Public Relations Writing Tools, Advanced Strategic Storytelling, Research & Analytics, among others. By studying both the principles and practice of the industry, you’ll have a competitive edge when you enter the field after graduation.

At Marist, Fashion Merchandising is much more than a major – it’s a hands-on, immersive learning experience. Our Fashion Merchandising students achieve high levels of success because they enter the fashion industry with years of experience under their belts even before graduation.

Criminal Justice majors at Marist learn and apply critical thinking and criminological theory to address the many issues relevant to the creation of a just society.  They examine the concept of crime from multiple perspectives and engage in internship opportunities that bring into focus the importance of developing theories in conjunction with a “boots on the ground” experience.

English Majors at Marist read, write, and create in a supportive community with many opportunities to hone their craft, share their artistry, and expand their horizons. A self-driven major enables you to choose the classes which interest you. Combine classroom work with hands-on experience to prepare for careers in publishing, education, public service, law, and many other fields.

The B.S. in Digital Media is designed to allow students the opportunity to explore, in depth, the new exciting field of Digital Media under the guidance of recognized working artists, designers, and educators. It combines courses in digital media with a balanced curriculum of art studio, art history, and liberal arts.

The B.A. in Italian provides the foundational skills for spoken and written proficiency as well as essential knowledge of Italian culture through the study of a broad range of topics such as Italian literature,  history, and contemporary ideas. The minor provides students with a solid base for the many professions linked with international endeavors and helps to prepare students to work in Italian and Italian American communities and institutions here and abroad.

Psychology majors at Marist have varied interests but one thing in common—they want to help people, and our resources will help you do that. We offer extensive research opportunities, diverse internships, and a flexible curriculum to guide you toward your career goals. Our students are very successful in transitioning to work after college or graduate programs in fields as varied as research, psychotherapy, counseling, public health, law school, medical school, and more.
