The Communication Studies concentration of the Communication major at Marist is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to understand, facilitate, and enhance human communication practices. The fundamentals will supplement and improve any degree and career path.

The B.S. in Digital Media is designed to allow students the opportunity to explore, in depth, the new exciting field of Digital Media under the guidance of recognized working artists, designers, and educators. It combines courses in digital media with a balanced curriculum of art studio, art history, and liberal arts.

Today, there is so much in the world of economics that is accomplished by technology. Marist students are prepared to compete in such a technological economy with a balanced training in economics and the liberal arts. Not only do our students graduate with advanced economics skillsets, but with the intuition to think creatively and innovate throughout their careers in the industry.

We connect classroom learning, research, civic engagement, and internships in order for you to apply the lessons of history to tomorrow’s world. 

The Public Relations concentration of the Communication major is geared toward our students who are interested in careers in Public Relations and related fields, resulting in career paths from Social Media Specialists to Corporate Communication Directors. Our program combines essential learnings that introduce and hone skills in courses like Campaign Management, Public Relations Writing Tools, Advanced Strategic Storytelling, Research & Analytics, among others. By studying both the principles and practice of the industry, you’ll have a competitive edge when you enter the field after graduation.

The Advertising concentration within the Communication major is geared toward our students focused on careers in advertising, whether their interest lies in creative, media, strategy, or account management. This concentration provides hands-on exposure to the industry, giving you a competitive edge when you enter the field after graduation.

The Professional Studies major is everything you need in an academic program, packaged for convenience.

This bachelor degree completion option is available in online and on-ground formats that cover areas such as Management Studies, Organizational Communication, Organizational Leadership, Information Technology Management, and Behavioral Studies.  This transfer credit friendly major allow students to maximize use of  credits earned from previous colleges / universities,  ACE accredited professional certifications, and credit for certain life work experiences.  

This Fashion Business Concentration within the Fashion Merchandising program is designed to enhance the educational experience for students and allows you to hone in on your interests in the industry. By focusing more deeply on the business principles and practices of the industry, you’ll have a competitive edge when you enter the field after graduation.
