The Professional Studies major is everything you need in an academic program, packaged for convenience.

This bachelor degree completion option is available in online and on-ground formats that cover areas such as Management Studies, Organizational Communication, Organizational Leadership, Information Technology Management, and Behavioral Studies.  This transfer credit friendly major allow students to maximize use of  credits earned from previous colleges / universities,  ACE accredited professional certifications, and credit for certain life work experiences.  

Psychology majors at Marist have varied interests but one thing in common—they want to help people, and our resources will help you do that. Marist’s Biology program, offering degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Biology, with concentrations in Human Biology or the Biological Sciences, is designed to help you take your passion and turn it into a successful, meaningful future. Our natural resources of the Hudson River and local community combined with our state-of-the-art technological resources and expert faculty create a learning environment unlike any other for our Biology, Biomedical Sciences, and Human Biology students.

At various times in recent history, religion has been disparaged as oppressive (Marx), criticized as an illusion (Freud), or dismissed as irrelevant (the post-Holocaust "God is Dead" movement). Nonetheless, religious sources and expression continue to provide the central texts, symbols, and paths of transformation for individuals and societies throughout the world.

What sets Marist’s Data Science and Analytics program apart is its direct connection to real-world application. Working hand-in-hand with major data institutions like IBM provides you with the opportunities to not only retain the theory of Data Science and Analytics but to apply it from day one of your academic career.

Marist’s Media Studies and Production major is designed to provide a well-rounded education in both the theory and practice of the industry. Taught by faculty who live what they teach, our program will hone your creativity and passion to take you from the classroom to the production room.

The Advertising concentration within the Communication major is geared toward our students focused on careers in advertising, whether their interest lies in creative, media, strategy, or account management. This concentration provides hands-on exposure to the industry, giving you a competitive edge when you enter the field after graduation.

The Journalism concentration within the Communication major is designed to stir and enrich your curiosity, resourcefulness, and concern about the issues of the day. You will study the history, literature, and law of your field, and you will graduate with years of hands-on journalism experience to ensure your success upon entering the industry.

The B.A. in Italian provides the foundational skills for spoken and written proficiency as well as essential knowledge of Italian culture through the study of a broad range of topics such as Italian literature,  history, and contemporary ideas. The minor provides students with a solid base for the many professions linked with international endeavors and helps to prepare students to work in Italian and Italian American communities and institutions here and abroad.
