In the Hispanic Studies program at Montana State, students are able to explore a full range of courses on Spanish language, Hispanic culture and literature. Hispanic Studies students start with a grounding of the Spanish language throughout their freshman and sophomore years before delving into advanced language labs and other in-depth research surrounding Hispanic Studies interests.

Students within the Applied Mathematics program at Montana State learn to describe physical phenomena within the world using deterministic models. Applied Mathematics students will use their skills in mathematical analysis and computational science to draw insights in the biological and physical science fields, as well as other applications.

In order to provide students with the skills needed in a globalized world that increasingly pivots on Asia, Montana State University offers an interdisciplinary Asian studies major. In the Asian Studies program at Montana State, students are given the option to study either Arabic, Chinese or Japanese as a core language, as well as explore cultural electives and literature courses that span the continent.

The Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science program at Montana State is an interdisciplinary program that pairs knowledge of computer science with the social sciences, humanities or business to become a creative problem-solver in a variety of fields. Computer Science B.A. students choose from dozens of paired majors in the arts, humanities or other non-STEM areas to build a program of study tailored to their interests.
