What You’ll Learn
The B.S. in Construction Engineering gives you a strong fundamental knowledge of engineering design and management principles. You’ll learn how to apply design theory and practices to produce solutions that support public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.

As the only B.S. Construction program offered in the New York tri-state area, your studies will include engineering mechanics and graphics, survey and geomatics, construction materials, building construction, concrete and steel structure design, construction management, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, and project management.

You’ll gain additional learning experiences from rich resources that include our Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center, engineering clubs (ASME, SAE, NSBE), and undergraduate research opportunities alongside faculty members as part of our Undergraduate Research & Entrepreneurial Program (UREP).

In your senior year, you’ll complete a capstone design project using the skills developed throughout the curriculum that address economic issues appropriate to the effective practice of engineering and showcasing your written language and oral communication skills.

Through the Business Administration, B.S. with a Management concentration, you’ll learn hands-on how to impact an organization’s efficiency and profitability while receiving a firm foundation in liberal arts.

• With Architectural Technology, B.S.A.T., your curriculum will encompass architectural design, building technology, environmental systems, and project management using advanced software and tools. • The Computer Science, B.S. program with a concentration in Big Data Management & Analytics is a joint effort between IBM and New York Tech that will prepare you for a role understanding and managing one of the world’s most important assets—big data.

You’ll work side-by-side faculty who are experts in facilities management, risk assessment, and alternative energy systems.
