You’ll infuse technology into your program by taking classes in computer programming, electrical circuits and electronics, and microprocessors, preparing you for graduate work in bioengineering.

Focused on culturally competent school counseling and social justice, the School Counseling, M.S. helps you become a compassionate, effective advocate for the academic, social, and emotional success of pre-K–12 students.

You’ll gain a broad foundation on prevalent topics in school counseling today, including leadership, group counseling, working with special needs students, college counseling, and school violence prevention. You’ll also acquire the critical experience you need through a practicum and internships under the mentorship of a tenured school counselor in a pre-K–12 school setting.

We also offer a Bilingual Extension, which can be completed simultaneously with your school counseling degree. The extension includes a minimum of six additional credits, as well as bilingual practicum experience to prepare you to work specifically with bilingual/ELL students and their families. NYSED certification will require documented proficiency in the target language by independently passing the New York State Bilingual Assessment (BEA).

Our Bachelor of Science in Biology comprises a core curriculum in humanities and research principles and practices, followed by coursework in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, cell biology, evolutionary biology, general and organic chemistry, physics, and calculus. Your coursework will span areas including adult learning theory, case design, assessment and exam design, simulation research fundamentals, basic human anatomy/physiology and radiology, and management of a simulation center.

In addition to your online coursework, you’ll get critical experience by spending a week working in NYITCOM’s high-fidelity simulation lab on our Long Island campus, applying the knowledge you have gained by designing and running simulation programs utilizing standardized patients, mannequins, and task trainers.

Gain a foundation in the design and development of mechanical systems, structures, thermo-fluid systems, aerospace systems, advanced transportation, and energy systems.
