The Master of Science in Commerce and Economic Development provides the knowledge and tools to confidently guide private and public decision-making in the context of increasingly borderless global markets. The program provides in-depth knowledge of the financial, regulatory, and economic environments and institutions that affect the global economy, applying the lens of applied economics to help you develop and hone skills that include: quantitative methods in economic theory, policy analysis, and research; data collection and interpretation; the evaluation of pricing, output levels, and labor markets; and the analysis of the impact of art, culture, and environmental resources on economic development. Your training is capped by an experiential placement that synthesizes classroom learning and hands-on application, harnessing real-world problems to help you to bring theory to life.

The Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations is an interdisciplinary degree that will prepare you to meet the challenges of globalization. Classes focus on the work you would do in the field such as analyzing the investment portfolios of developing nations, managing crises, and crafting speeches for embassy officials. You'll narrow your study to one of five concentrations and choose one of six major world regions as your focus, working with our distinguished faculty of policymakers, diplomats, and global educators as you prepare to step onto the world stage. Participate in the Diplomacy Lab and explore real-world challenges while contributing to the policy-making process in conjunction with the U.S. State Department.  If you choose our optional International Field Study Experience, you'll serve abroad as a consultant for a global organization as it works to solve a real-world business challenge.

The Master of Science in Human Resources Management program is designed to prepare students to make the connection between an organization’s strategy and its people. Available in two learning formats – on-ground in Boston and 100% online, the program focuses on emerging human resource competencies and skills needed to navigate the evolving human resources field, including the transformational impact of technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data.

The curriculum features six leading-edge concentrations that align with trends that are reshaping the human resources field: Digital HR, Artificial Intelligence for Human Resources, Global Talent Management, Project Management, Leadership, and Organizational Communication. The Master of Professional Studies in Analytics trains you to discover, interpret, and effectively communicate data to help organizations make informed decisions. Focused on skills you can readily apply on the job, our program will build your knowledge of statistics and mathematics, analytics systems technology, business intelligence, business process management, analytics agility, data leadership and governance, and policy and ethics. You'll have the opportunity to work with a sponsoring organization to expand your professional network and get hands-on experience in everything from data extraction to the translation and implementation of data analysis. The Master of Sports Leadership prepares you for a variety of sport-related occupations—whether it’s working with a professional or intercollegiate sports team, with a fitness club or wellness organization, or in marketing, communications, or sports management. In this program, developed in collaboration with Northeastern’s Center for the Study of Sport in Society, you’ll refine and develop your leadership abilities as you examine the relevant social and business issues and hone your analytical and organizational skills. You can choose to focus on professional or collegiate athletics, eSports, or analytics, and you’ll get real-world experience through your program.
