The B.S. Computer Science program focuses on developing flexible professionals who are equipped to learn new technologies and principles that are essential for success in such a rapidly evolving field. The mission of the Psychology Department, as part of the College of Science & Mathematics at Rowan University, is to provide a high-quality education to undergraduate and graduate students, engage in cutting-edge research in a variety of disciplines and sub-disciplines within psychology and to provide services to children and their families in the South Jersey region.

To achieve our mission, the department at Rowan University offers two undergraduate degree programs: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (33 credits) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science (60 credits).

The Bachelor of Science degree is designed for students interested in scientific careers or pursuing graduate studies. Field experiences are an essential element of our curriculum, beginning in the first year.

Students earning a BS in Environmental Science will leave Rowan University with a broad understanding of several scientific disciplines and mathematics. Course requirements offer flexibility within the degree, not only with a number of elective credits but with choices among specialized courses.

BS students integrate the foundations of biology, chemistry, physics and other core STEM disciplines with their understanding of environmental issues. Environmental scientists are on the front line of documenting environment change and developing solutions to modern problems that impact everyone on Earth.

Our M.S. in Engineering effectively prepares professionals to respond to the changing needs of engineers today. Our students complete higher level coursework in technical topics and develop and demonstrate applied skills in research, teaching, and communication - all of which leads to an advanced engineering degree. Our program provides you with the necessary knowledge, skill set, and training to be leaders in the engineering workforce.

Novel independent research, conducted under the supervision of a faculty mentor, is an option (thesis-track) and will culminate in publication(s) in peer-reviewed scientific journals, presentations at scientific conferences, a thesis, and the potential generation of intellectual property.

An MBA Concentration in HR Management is an ideal option for those that want a career that builds on their interpersonal skills, communication skills, and emotional intelligence. Explore talent management concepts such as hiring, recruiting, training, and managing staff to ensure that a business’s most important assets (its employees) are well prepared and encouraged to thrive in their everyday work environment. Career roles include recruitment and employee screening, performance management, employee relations, enforcement of disciplinary actions, compensation negotiation, management of employee records, continued education, and so on. HR Management is in demand across an unlimited number of industries. Long term career goals include SHRM certification, HRCI certification, succession planning, HR data and analytics, HR information systems, and introducing/maintaining company culture.

The Rowan University Chemical Engineering Program is a student-centered, primarily undergraduate program that incorporates leading-edge educational methods and technology with engineering practice. We prepare students for careers in the global chemical process industry and related fields, and for advanced degree study. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in chemical engineering science and design, and emphasizes the development of effective communication and teaming skills, and professional responsibility in preparation for a career in a diverse global workforce. Throughout the curriculum, students are exposed to chemical engineering methods using hands-on, state-of-the-art experiments, modern computer tools, and problem synthesis and solution approaches. The Chemical Engineering Program is committed to technical excellence, professional responsibility, and lifelong learning.

The RTF Department offers students courses in radio, television and film production, as well as courses in the history, business, and aesthetics of the media. Students can select one of two tracks within the program: The Traditional Production Emphasis, which is based in the department's, state-of-the-art digital production facilities, and a new Critical Studies Track. This track prepares the student for media studies in graduate school and/or careers in education and literary criticism. Students who complete both of these programs posses a broad-based liberal arts background and a strong preparation for either the media production industry or advanced media studies.
