Our Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares you for a career in the highly interdisciplinary field of pharmaceutical sciences. The field of pharmaceutical science involves the integration of concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology for the design, and synthesis of drugs as well as for understanding the mechanism of drug action. As a practitioner in this field, you may work on the discovery and development of novel drugs, creating efficient use of existing drugs, and lowering the cost of therapy employing less expensive protocols for manufacturing drugs.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology are physical science majors composed of foundation courses in science and mathematics; core courses in geology; and upper-level geoscience electives.BS programs are designed to prepare students to enter the geoscience workforce in consulting firms or government agencies; pursue professional studies; or undertake advanced graduate studies in geoscience disciplines. Students in the BS in Geology program will concentrate in one of four tracks designed to fit the academic and career aspirations of individual students: general geosciences, applied geology, global climate change and paleontology.

The B.S. degree in Chemistry prepares students for graduate study and for careers in industry, government or medicine. The program provides training in all five areas of chemistry following the recommendations of the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society. After completion of the basic courses there are numerous choices for advanced electives and the degree is capped off with a research experience. Our M.A. in Higher Education Academic Advising track is designed for professionals who are seeking advising careers at two- or four-year institutions. These advising roles are found throughout higher education, whether in an advising center, an academic department or college, a tutoring center, or other specialized academic settings.

Our Master of Arts in History is tailored toward increasing competence in historical studies for preparatory or supplementary teaching, on both the high school or community college level. It is also appropriate if you are seeking qualification for admission to a doctoral program at another institution or if you are pursuing an advanced-level liberal education for intellectual challenge and personal fulfillment. We offer a thesis and non-thesis track.
