Our Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares you for a career in the highly interdisciplinary field of pharmaceutical sciences. The field of pharmaceutical science involves the integration of concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology for the design, and synthesis of drugs as well as for understanding the mechanism of drug action. As a practitioner in this field, you may work on the discovery and development of novel drugs, creating efficient use of existing drugs, and lowering the cost of therapy employing less expensive protocols for manufacturing drugs.

Rowan University's cutting-edge Bachelor of Science in Music Industry degree program provides students with the extensive knowledge and experience they need to launch a successful career in the music business or the recording industry. Music Industry majors can choose between two specializations: Music Technology and Music Business. The Music Technology specialization offers hands-on production experience in the recording studio, while Music Business focuses on management and marketing as practiced in the music industry. Students in one specialization can take courses from the other as electives. Both specializations incorporate 12 credits from the Rohrer College of Business.

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics consists of 120 semester hours. The major requires students to take courses in logic, physics, computer science, and applied and theoretical mathematics. The B.S. degree is designed to give the increasing number of our mathematics majors that do not intend to be teachers, the opportunity to prepare more thoroughly for graduate work in mathematics and other disciplines, such as engineering, the physical sciences, statistics, computer science, and areas requiring extensive mathematical training. The requirements for this degree are also flexible enough so that students intending to seek employment in business, industry, or government can pursue courses of study that will allow them to enter their professions familiar with more of the relevant mathematics. The program is designed to allow students to study the mathematics with flexibility, breadth, and depth.

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Rowan is a modern, innovative, hands-on project-based program, where we train and graduate proficient engineers who will be successful in solving not only today’s problems, but also tomorrow’s evolving and emerging engineering challenges. The Master's of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Education (MA HGE) is the first and only of its kind globally. With equal focus on Holocaust and genocide content, and innovative and effective pedagogies, the MA HGE breaks new ground. This graduate program fills a much-needed gap in higher education. Currently, fifteen states in the U.S. have Holocaust and genocide education mandates, and federal funding has been earmarked to improve Holocaust education nation-wide. The MA HGE bridges a divide between more traditional programs in Holocaust and Genocide Studies and graduate programs in Education in order to help graduate students consider what Holocaust and genocide education can look like across diverse settings. This program is designed for those interested in Holocaust and education broadly, from classroom teachers and curriculum developers, to museum educators, and those interested in working for nonprofits and NGOs. In the MA HGE, graduate students will gain deep content knowledge and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies through customized coursework and an applied capstone project.

Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is a relevant and timely major especially with the current and impending threat of universal terrorism, the impact of climate change and natural disasters, and the enhanced need to address issues related to public safety and national security. Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is an innovative and interdisciplinary degree program that focuses on training students in areas that impact human welfare locally, nationally, and globally. The program has a distinctive emphasis on urban issues and environments and the role that ethics plays in how policies, politics, and practices shape the quality of life for human beings in our state, nation, and world.
