The B.S. Computer Science program focuses on developing flexible professionals who are equipped to learn new technologies and principles that are essential for success in such a rapidly evolving field. The mission of the Psychology Department, as part of the College of Science & Mathematics at Rowan University, is to provide a high-quality education to undergraduate and graduate students, engage in cutting-edge research in a variety of disciplines and sub-disciplines within psychology and to provide services to children and their families in the South Jersey region.

To achieve our mission, the department at Rowan University offers two undergraduate degree programs: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (33 credits) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science (60 credits).

Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is a relevant and timely major especially with the current and impending threat of universal terrorism, the impact of climate change and natural disasters, and the enhanced need to address issues related to public safety and national security. Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is an innovative and interdisciplinary degree program that focuses on training students in areas that impact human welfare locally, nationally, and globally. The program has a distinctive emphasis on urban issues and environments and the role that ethics plays in how policies, politics, and practices shape the quality of life for human beings in our state, nation, and world.

Studying writing arts increases understanding of the multiple facets of written communication. Through a variety of courses and learning experiences in creative, academic, new media, and applied writing, students learn to become flexible, adaptable writers, ready to bring advanced writing, reading, and critical thinking skills to the workplace.

Our Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering provides engineering professionals an opportunity to expand their skill sets in advanced topics. Specialization areas for this program include:

• Virtual reality systems

The mission of the Marketing Program is to prepare students for marketing careers in a rapidly changing business, social, and political environment. The primary goal of this program is to provide students with a full understanding of the functions of business organizations and prepare them to be strong contributors to the marketing function of their organizations.

Marketing is one of the most important functions in business that connects companies with their customers. It is a dynamic and exciting field that combines art with science. Developing a successful marketing strategy encompasses many tasks including marketing research, product or service design, branding, effective communication & promotional programs, pricing, and distributing products to customers.

As a graduate of the Rohrer College of Business, we expect that you will not only be prepared for your first professional job but that you will also be able to continue to learn and develop in order to adapt to career and life changes. While a student at the Rohrer College of Business, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world. The M.A. in Strategic Communication offers a flexible structure taught by experienced professionals in public relations, public affairs, advertising, and integrated marketing communications. As a graduate student, you have access to individual consultations and mentoring provided by faculty and the professional network who supports the program. In our program, you have the freedom to focus on coursework that best matches your professional interests: media relations, strategic writing, event planning and management, visual communication, online public relations, or school public relations.

A  full range of theatre and dance production opportunities complements coursework and allows students to develop performance and production skills by creating live theatre.  All students may participate in the department's annual faculty-directed mainstage and/or student productions. These projects provide students with practical experience as performers, directors, designers and technicians, and enhances skills learned in the classroom.

Concentration in Design Technical
Intensively study set, light, costume and sound design along with stage management, technical theater, carpentry and electrics. Combine your class design experience with stage work on both our student-produced company and on our main stage while still a student!

Our M.A. in Counseling in Educational Settings prepares professional practitioners in School Counseling to become change agents in their school and community through a system perspective where all students are served.
