This degree is an ideal launchpad for a career in graphic design, from UX/UI to editorial, publication, motion graphics, animation or infographic design. You’ll build a strong foundation in fundamentals of design, image and typography and learn to solve a wide range of design problems. By the time you graduate, you’ll be equipped with the creative, technical, theoretical and problem-solving skills you need to thrive in any professional design environment.

Design Technology - Concentration
As a major in theater design/technology, you’ll train in the many aspects of design and technical functions of the performing arts, including set and costume design, props, drafting, lighting design and pulling it all together as a producer.
You’ll analyze and compare the historical, critical and aesthetic contexts in which the dramatic tradition has developed. In your third year, faculty will review your portfolio and advise you on which area—theater technology, scenic design, costume design, lighting design or stage management—you should specialize in.

Latin American Studies is a diverse field that bridges the social sciences, natural sciences and humanities in the study of the Americas. You’ll be prepared for a variety of careers in international relations, international business, healthcare-related fields, teaching, politics, or law.
