Our performance degree is designed for you to elevate your musical skills to the highest level. You’ll receive group and individualized training and gain proficiency in critical thinking, skill development, time management, self-discipline, and focused practice. There are five concentrations within the music performance major: instrumental, piano, voice, composition and technology and commercial music.

The Hospitality Management (HOSP) program provides a strong educational foundation and excellent career preparation for students interested in the premium service segment of the hospitality industry. The HOSP curriculum offers a variety of courses and unique experiential learning opportunities designed to prepare our graduates to pursue successful management and/or entrepreneurial opportunities in the hotel/lodging, restaurant, event planning, culinary, country club, foodservice or beverage industries.

The Event Management Option is designed to attract students pursuing careers in the multi-faceted and ever-evolving commercial, and non-commercial Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Events (MICE) sector. As is the case both nationally and globally, the events sector now makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic wellbeing of the state of Alabama and the nation. Over recent decades, public, private and voluntary sector businesses (including those in the education sector) throughout the state and beyond have been outsourcing social and business events such as meetings, incentive travel, conferences and events (MICE). This program is designed to position Auburn University to keep pace with this emerging economic sector by educating the trained professionals needed to meet the continuing demands of the state’s and nations ever-developing hospitality industry and in particular those interested in pursuing a career in the event management field.

Biomedical science combines the fields of biology and medicine in order to focus on the health of both animals and humans. As a biomedical science major, you'll study biochemical and physiological functions, anatomical and histological structures, epidemiology, and pharmacology.

This degree produces graduates who are able to identify, formulate, analyze and solve complex biosystems engineering problems by using appropriate tools and techniques, including independent research, and who can effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences. Community Planning is a profession that offers a wide range of opportunities for people with many different talents and aspirations. Planning is concerned with the use of land, protection of the environment, public welfare, the design of public spaces and infrastructure, and the economy. The Community Planning program at Auburn University is a professionally oriented, master's degree program. The hallmark of the program is the opportunity for students to work with real clients, on real planning projects, in almost every class.

Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that deals with mathematical methods that find use in science, engineering, business, computer science, and industry. Thus, applied mathematics is a combination of mathematical science and specialized knowledge. The term "applied mathematics" also describes the professional specialty in which mathematicians work on practical problems by formulating and studying mathematical models. Our Environmental Science major program is an interdisciplinary degree, incorporating studies such as soil science, physics, chemistry, biology and geology. Environmental solutions also frequently require mathematical expertise as well as specific knowledge of air, water and soil environments. Thus, the program is structured to educate environmental scientists broadly, but with considerable depth and flexibility.
