The Department offers the Organismal Biology major leading to the Bachelor of Science degree.  The curricula for this major is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization. This program also provides a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) prepares undergraduate students for a variety of exciting and challenging career opportunities including: preschool teaching; administering programs for young children, adolescents, and adults; parent education; mental health services; child advocacy; and cooperative extension. Senior HDFS interns have been placed in outstanding work settings throughout the United States such as Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, the Children's Television Workshop/Sesame Street, Walt Disney World, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Interns have also been placed in many local schools, counseling centers, social service agencies, court systems, and assisted living facilities for seniors.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics (DMS) at Auburn University has over 50 professors representing diverse areas of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. Many of the general undergraduate classes are capped at under 30 students, meaning they are able to offer students personal attention and close contact with faculty. The program in Mathematics provides students with a general background in mathematics preparing them for graduate studies in mathematics or careers that require mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills. It is well suited for students who wish to pursue a career in teaching mathematics in a university/college, or who desire more flexibility or emphasis in liberal arts.

Computer engineering emphasizes design, implementation and maintenance of hardware and software components of modern computing systems, computer-controlled equipment, and networks of intelligent devices.

The applied biotechnology major at Auburn is an interdisciplinary program that brings together the multidisciplinary expertise of faculty from various departments within the College of Agriculture. The Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering provides students an opportunity to use scientific principles and engineering concepts and practices to design, build, test and operate aerospace, aviation and aeronautical systems and vehicles, including involvement in the design, development and production of vehicles for flight, both in and beyond the atmosphere.
