Our program integrates the humanities and social sciences to examine political processes, systems, and dynamics across the globe. You’ll learn about American government, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public law. Then our Bachelor of Science in neuroscience may be for you. Our program combines psychology and science to deepen the understanding of the brain and the nervous system. You’ll have the opportunity to conduct research and use state-of-the-art equipment at the Auburn University MRI Research Center.

The program, a joined offering of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, is designed to develop within its graduates a basic foundation in wireless engineering that will provide the technical proficiency needed for the professional practice of engineering in the wireless industry, the ability to communicate their ideas effectively within the technical community and the general public and an enthusiasm for lifelong scientific inquiry.

To complete the program you must:

• Choose a specialized track - wireless hardware or wireless software
• For the wireless hardware track, complete coursework including circuit analysis, communications, digital systems, electronics, electromagnetism and wireless communications and networks
• For the wireless software track, complete coursework including wireless software engineering, embedded systems, software process and quality assurance

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre performance is an extension of our BA in theatre and offers studio acting, voice, and movement training with professional actors. There are also numerous opportunities to participate in a wide variety of production experiences. You’ll audition for the program in the spring of your sophomore year, and begin this rigorous course of study in the fall of your junior year. You’ll engage in scene study, text analysis, voice, speech, dialects, mask work, makeup, on-camera training, and audition workshops with professional actors and producers.

The agricultural communications major combines the study of agricultural sciences, practices and policy with the study of communications media and methods. Professional communicators in agriculture are vital to relaying crucial scientific or technical information from scientists to producers to businesses to consumers. As an agricultural communicator, your career may be in mass media, advertising, public relations, sales and marketing or government.

What you’ll Study
As an agricultural communications major, you’ll take basic agriculture classes as well as chemistry and biology to ensure your understanding of agricultural issues. You’ll also take a variety of classes through the School of Communications and Journalism and the English Department, including public relations, marketing, journalism, radio, television, film, digital media and technical writing. The major requires an internship or journalism workshop.

Each food product on the grocery store shelves was conceptualized, developed and manufactured by a team of food scientists. The ever-changing food industry must meet the demands of consumers, meet dietary guidelines for health maintenance and still be profitable for manufacturers.

To accomplish these objectives, food scientists use their scientific training within the multi-billion dollar food industry. Food Science graduates are prepared to enter many areas of the food industry, including quality control, research and development, and management.

As a student in food science, you’ll have the opportunities to be a part of the food industry through internships and other problem-solving experiences linked directly to industry needs and issues. You’ll also have access to undergraduate research experiences that will prepare you for work on graduate or professional degrees.

What you will study
The food science major blends a strong foundation in the basic sciences with the expertise of faculty from the departments of animal sciences, poultry science, and biosystems engineering.

Food science is a multidisciplinary scientific field where concepts of chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, engineering and nutrition are utilized to develop and produce foods that are safe, palatable, healthy and economical.

After completing coursework in the basic sciences, you’ll take specialized courses in food chemistry, food analysis, food engineering, food microbiology, processing and product development. An internship or other approved practical experience is required for the food science major and you may also participate in a variety of undergraduate research opportunities as a student in food science.

The Bachelor of Arts in German-international trade is a professional degree that broadens your understanding of society through cultural exchange in German and provides you with communication skills, linguistic dexterity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. The Department of Biological Science offers three majors leading to the Bachelor of Science degree (Marine Biology; Microbial, Cellular & Molecular Biology; Organismal Biology).  The curricula for these majors are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization.  All of these majors also provide a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers both a thesis and non-thesis Master of Science, which provide students an opportunity to sharpen their skills in aerospace system design, development, manufacturing, maintenance, and operation.
