The Department offers the Organismal Biology major leading to the Bachelor of Science degree.  The curricula for this major is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization. This program also provides a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that deals with mathematical methods that find use in science, engineering, business, computer science, and industry. Thus, applied mathematics is a combination of mathematical science and specialized knowledge. The term "applied mathematics" also describes the professional specialty in which mathematicians work on practical problems by formulating and studying mathematical models. In the past, practical applications have motivated the development of mathematical theories, which then became the subject of study in pure mathematics where abstract concepts are studied for their own sake. The activity of applied mathematics is thus intimately connected with research in pure mathematics.

Health care is one of the fastest growing sectors of U. S. economy. Health care of the future will focus on information technology, improved delivery systems, and strong management. Our Bachelor of Science in health services administration emphasizes advanced analytical and managerial skills.

Computer engineering emphasizes design, implementation and maintenance of hardware and software components of modern computing systems, computer-controlled equipment, and networks of intelligent devices.

Our Bachelor of Arts degree in art (formal option - art history) provides you with an understanding of the historical and intellectual significance of a range of artistic forms and practices around the world, from prehistoric times to the present.
