Our creative writing major is an exciting learning experience that spans multiple genres. You’ll take courses that focus on the “architecture” of stories, poems, and essays; learn how each piece works; and apply those lessons to the creation of your original work. Workshops, conferences, and discussions of craft are the focal point of classroom instruction.

The department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in medical laboratory science, chemistry, and biochemistry. As a horticulture major, you’ll learn how to establish, propagate, harvest and manage fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants. You’ll also learn the principles of landscape design to create and manage aesthetically pleasing environments.

As a student in our horticulture fruit and vegetable production major option, you will find many opportunities to support fruit and vegetable production, including cooperative extension, research with private companies and government agencies such as the USDA-ARS, and marketing.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design is a flexible, multi-disciplinary degree. The degree content includes:

• Five core environmental design courses
• Directed electives
• Free electives

Students are encouraged to use the free electives to earn one or two minors.

Two summers of coursework are required for the environmental design workshop series. The degree is a good option for students who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in design, planning, and construction-related programs.
