The Department of Biological Science offers three majors leading to the Bachelor of Science degree (Marine Biology; Microbial, Cellular & Molecular Biology; Organismal Biology).  The curricula for these majors are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization.  All of these majors also provide a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering provides students opportunities to obtain the skills necessary to define, formulate, and solve advanced problems through education and research in the field of mechanical engineering.

Health care is one of the fastest growing sectors of U. S. economy. Health care of the future will focus on information technology, improved delivery systems, and strong management. Our Bachelor of Science in health services administration emphasizes advanced analytical and managerial skills.

Art is not simply created in the minds of artists but with their hands. If you’re planning a career as an artist or want to pursue graduate study, then a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art is for you. Our studio art degree will expand your imagination and creative expression within the classroom and the studio.

Our faculty will challenge you to develop your own approach to art through a dynamic mixture of stylistic and aesthetic viewpoints. Our studio art degree is composed of one-on-one instruction in small classes and exciting courses in painting/drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and sculpture.

With a growing emphasis on preventative health care and interest in health, wellness and improved quality of life among consumers and employers, Auburn University's degree option in Nutrition and Wellness is designed to prepare students for successful career entry into the broad health and wellness professions. A multitude of career opportunities now present themselves throughout the voluntary, public and private sectors as employers, employees and private citizens alike are expressing great interest in a healthier working and/or living environment. Successful graduates will provide the education and counselling necessary to help citizens lead healthier and better quality lives, while helping employers improve employee productivity through the provision of a healthier workplace environment.

Then our Bachelor of Science in neuroscience may be for you. Our program combines psychology and science to deepen the understanding of the brain and the nervous system. You’ll have the opportunity to conduct research and use state-of-the-art equipment at the Auburn University MRI Research Center.

The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) prepares undergraduate students for a variety of exciting and challenging career opportunities including: preschool teaching; administering programs for young children, adolescents, and adults; parent education; mental health services; child advocacy; and cooperative extension. Senior HDFS interns have been placed in outstanding work settings throughout the United States such as Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, the Children's Television Workshop/Sesame Street, Walt Disney World, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Interns have also been placed in many local schools, counseling centers, social service agencies, court systems, and assisted living facilities for seniors.

A Bachelor of Arts in French broadens your understanding of society through cultural exchange in French and provides you with communication skills, linguistic dexterity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. These cultural insights and practical tools can help you find your place in today’s competitive, multilingual marketplace.

The BA curriculum in Chemistry provides a strong background in chemistry while allowing students to specialize in areas of interest. It is especially well suited for students leaning towards medical sciences while allowing more flexibility than that allowed in the American Chemical Society approved biochemistry curriculum. The program allows for great versatility in the junior and senior years, allowing the curriculum to be tailored to individual goals. The curriculum prepares students for professional careers in chemistry or biochemistry and advanced degree programs in chemistry, biochemistry and medically related fields.
