Construction management degree programs at FIU equip students with the knowledge and skills required for supervisory or managerial positions in the construction industry. Graduates usually find employment as project managers, project schedulers, cost estimators, quality controllers or in managing their own construction firms. Opportunities for employment exist in all areas of the construction industry, including land development, home building, public building, industrialized building systems, marine and highway heavy construction.

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree prepares graduates to think critically, solve problems and lead with confidence. This broad-based program teaches important business fundamentals across environments and industries both in the U.S. and globally. You'll learn how goods and services are produced, financed and marketed; the impact of external forces on business success; basics of accounting and quantitative methods, plus an introduction to organizational theory and communication and leadership decision-making.

Finance
Students will learn how money is raised and invested, how to manage a company's financial resources, and gain an understanding of capital markets, corporate finance, investments and financial institutions. You’ll acquire the background to handle an array of financial challenges including the impact of interest rates, be able to perform risk analyses, know how to determine the value and return of investments, and grasp the regulatory environment. Students who graduate with the finance major are prepared to enter positions in corporations, financial institutions, brokerage firms, investment banks, and government. They also are prepared for post-graduate study in all areas of business.

Our Recreation and Sport Management undergraduate curriculum offers professional preparation programs designed to prepare students for employment in park, recreation, sport or recreational therapy delivery systems.

Our Bachelor of Science in Physics prepares students for careers as professional physicists in industry, government, or graduate study in physics, engineering or material science. It also prepares students for teaching careers.

Our Bachelor of Arts in Psychology offers excellent training in how to understand human behavior using scientifically rigorous methods. The program reflects current trends in the field of psychology through its emphasis on the science of psychology, integrated via the research sequence, and through the inclusion of recent trends in psychological theory and practice, such as child psychopathology, environmental psychology and legal psychology.

There are two tracks available in the upper division program for B.S. in Computer Science. The Computer Science (CS) track should be followed by the student who intends to continue on to graduate study in computer science. The Software Design and Development (SDD) track may be followed by the student who intends to pursue a software engineering career.
