The Bachelor of Music prepares you for a career as a professional musician or composer. It also serves as the gateway to graduate-level studies in music.

If you want to work behind the scenes (and sometimes in front of the camera) in the sport industry, then this is the major for you. Sport administration is designed to teach you the fundamentals behind managing the complex and ever-changing sport industry. You will get real-world experience and may one day become commissioner of the NCAA.

Sport Leadership
A concentration in sport leadership teaches leadership roles within athletic fields. Whether it’s coaching or motivating others to succeed, this will make you a better leader on and off the field.

Learn about nutrition and the research, development, packaging, and distribution of our food supply. At LSU, you will participate in hands-on learning, professional development, and faculty-led research to prepare for a health-related profession or career in business or agriculture. 

Nutrition, Health, and Society: This concentration will prepare you for a career in the health professions, specifically dietetics or medicine, or in the food industry.

Whether you have a passion for being on stage or are more interested in working behind the scenes, the School of Theatre offers you the opportunity to realize your dreams. It’s one of only a handful of programs in the country with an affiliate professional theatre, Swine Palace, which enables you to work alongside leading professionals while earning your degree.

Physical Theatre
If you’re more interested by Cirque du Soleil than Broadway, this concentration may be for you. Combining athleticism and theatrical presentation, training ranges from aerial work to contact improvisation.

If you’re a natural-born “mathlete,” a degree in mathematics can lead to a career in many exciting areas, including actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, and secondary education. You can also pursue a graduate degree or professional degree in fields such as law and business.

Computational Mathematics
In this area of concentration, your course work will focus on the mathematics behind numerical procedures and computer algorithms. It is recommended for students interested in careers grappling with tomorrow’s large-scale numerical problems.

LSU has the only program in Louisiana that will prepare you for a career in international business. The international trade and finance degree is an economics degree with a concentration in international business. Want to work for an international company? Consider also minoring in a foreign language.

At LSU, you will find faculty members who bring history to life every day. The department is one of the nation’s premier locations for studying Southern history. You will also be able to take courses on almost every part of the world and every era.

In this program, you can expect to gain a wide-ranging view of world issues while focusing on a particular geographic region or areas such as global diplomacy. In international studies, you will also have opportunities to participate in study abroad programs and develop in-depth knowledge of the languages and cultures of your chosen area.

• Global Studies: The concentration in global studies is a very broad concentration covering any topics which fall across multiple regions of the world. Much of international relations, global climate concerns, third world development, world population and globalization fit under this concentration.

• Europe: The concentration in Europe focuses on the history, politics, art, and literature of the countries of modern Europe.

Construction Managers use engineering and business principles to oversee the entire construction process. This includes estimating/budgeting, contract law, construction methods and materials, scheduling, safety, and effective communication. Industry emphasis areas include industrial, highway, commercial, residential, and general construction. Graduates are easily employed in this booming industry and can either work their way up within a construction company or start their own construction management business.
