Learn how raw products move from farm to table, including all of the functions of agricultural business. This major will allow you to focus on management, marketing, finance, and economics, while addressing questions and concerns involving the economics and sociology of agriculture, natural resources, and rural communities.

Rural Development: This curriculum prepares you for a career in which you can assist local governments in nonprofit sectors to improve the livelihood and sustainability of rural areas.

In this program, you can expect to gain a wide-ranging view of world issues while focusing on a particular geographic region or areas such as global diplomacy. In international studies, you will also have opportunities to participate in study abroad programs and develop in-depth knowledge of the languages and cultures of your chosen area.

• Europe: The concentration in Europe focuses on the history, politics, art, and literature of the countries of modern Europe.

Management will help you explore the many facets of organizational behavior, industrial and labor relations, as well as an appreciation and understanding of global management practices, among others. You can pursue these areas further through the human resource management concentration, international management concentration, or strategic leadership concentration.

From companion animals to livestock, study all aspects of the animal industries, including production, processing, and nutrition, as well as care of companion animals and preparation for veterinary school. Hands-on learning, faculty-led research opportunities, and real-world experience prepare you for exciting and challenging careers.

Dairy Foods Technology: Learn about animal sciences with a focus on dairy food products, production, and development.

If you enjoy bringing life to a creative thought, you may find your niche in studio art. Choose a focus in two- or three-dimensional art, such as ceramics and sculpture, painting and drawing, photography, or printmaking. Become familiar with a number of art techniques and the major achievements in the history of art. Gain an understanding of contemporary thinking about art and design, and learn to make valid assessments of quality in design projects and works of art. Studio artists are creative problem solvers who enjoy experimentation, are self-disciplined, and visually aware.

Kinesiology is the study of human movement and the practice of helping people understand how their body performs, how to maintain proper physical health, and how to maximize their body's potential.

This major emphasizes a hands-on approach to understanding human behavior and offers exceptional preparation for graduate study in psychology or medical school. You can develop the skills you need in areas such as biological, clinical, cognitive, and school psychology. The department also has an extremely active honors program through which you can work with faculty mentors on meaningful research.

Learn about the properties and composition of matter and the interactions and alterations of substances. Chemistry is at the core of most scientific disciplines, including the study of polymers, biotechnology, pollution control, and energy. There are nine available concentrations, which will allow you to narrow your focus to the career track that works best for you or help you prepare for graduate study. 

Biological Chemistry
This concentration strengthens the student’s knowledge in the chemistry and structure of living systems.

Information systems and decision sciences professionals are among the highest paid recent college graduates with a top starting salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000. The Department of Information Systems & Decision Sciences offers two constantly updated concentrations: information technology, for students interested in designing, programming, and testing website applications and building database systems; and business intelligence, for students interested in analytics.

In sociology, you will discover and explain patterns of human behavior. You will learn how society functions and how you function within society. You may also elect to follow the department’s concentration in criminology.
