Food Industry Management: With its proximity in South Louisiana to a tradition of fine food from a variety of cultures, LSU is perfectly situated to provide you with the business tools to make the most of this tradition. In this agricultural business concentration, you will learn about processes and technology in the U.S. food industry.

Digital Art: Combine your two loves into one discipline that will help you refine your skills in classes that provide a broad, integrated understanding of creative practice across 3-D modeling, animation, video, Web, interactive systems, photo-based media, and digital printmaking. Economics is the study of how people choose to use resources. These can include the time and talent people have available; the land, buildings, equipment, and other tools on hand; and the knowledge of how to combine them to create useful products and services. Economics will provide you with analytical skills and a breadth of economic understanding that prepares you for a career in business or government or for further study in economics, law, or public policy.

The Bachelor of Arts is a broad-based liberal arts degree with an emphasis in the study of music. You can use this degree to explore music alongside other areas of study including business, engineering, arts administration, digital media, and jazz.

Finance is the study of how individuals, businesses, and organizations acquire and use money. In fact, finance students get hands-on experience with this through the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), or Tiger Fund, which gives them the opportunity to work through such areas of security research, valuation of risky assets, and portfolio management. Since it began in 2005, students have taken the initial $1 million provided by the LSU Foundation and grown it to more than $2.3 million.

In this program, you can expect to gain a wide-ranging view of world issues while focusing on a particular geographic region or areas such as global diplomacy. In international studies, you will also have opportunities to participate in study abroad programs and develop in-depth knowledge of the languages and cultures of your chosen area.

• Africa: The concentration in Africa focuses on the politics, history, folklore, and culture of Sub Saharan Africa. This region has close cultural ties with the United States, and supplies a number of important resources which are shipped through the Port of New Orleans including cocoa, coffee, and rubber. Dramatic economic conditions in some parts of Africa highlight the urgent need for sustainable economic development.
