Learn about nutrition and the research, development, packaging, and distribution of our food supply. At LSU, you will participate in hands-on learning, professional development, and faculty-led research to prepare for a health-related profession or career in business or agriculture.

Food Science and Technology: This curriculum follows the National Institute of Food Technologists guidelines to provide a strong basic foundation for the study of post-production properties and processing of food products.

Sport administration is designed to teach you the fundamentals behind managing the complex and ever-changing sport industry. Sport Leadership
A concentration in sport leadership teaches leadership roles within athletic fields. Whether it’s coaching or motivating others to succeed, this will make you a better leader on and off the field.

Whether it’s discovering a new particle or blasting a rocket into space, physics is at the root of everything. Here you will learn about energy and matter, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, the birth of the universe, and Einstein’s special theory of relativity. Our program will prepare you for graduate school in physics, leading to careers as a college professor, as a scientist at a government agency (like NASA), or in high-tech industry.

Secondary Education
This concentration allows you to pursue an undergraduate degree in physics and earn a secondary teaching certificate at the same time though the LSU GeauxTeach Math & Science program.

Find great adventure in anthropology at LSU. Areas of study include archaeology, cultural anthropology, folklore, physical anthropology, and anthropological linguistics. You can participate firsthand in meaningful research, ranging from studies of contemporary communities to archaeological digs, that can have a real impact on the world.

Computer science involves programming computing devices, creating information systems, engineering new products, visualizing and creating imagery, working with data infrastructure and networks, and protecting information through cybersecurity Concentrations include cloud computing and networking, computer science and a second discipline, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, and software engineering. Many graduates go on to become software engineers/developers, but other job titles include cybersecurity specialist, network designer, entrepreneur, web developer, and more.

The sport commerce concentration teaches sport as a business enterprise. The business aspect of sports has never been more prevalent than it is today and this concentration will give you the tools to succeed.
