• Middle East: The concentration in the Middle East focuses on the religion, politics, art, and literature of the Middle East and North Africa. The concentration includes the Arab world, as well as important bordering states such as Turkey and Iran. This is a region with a rich history and tradition which has been a preoccupation of recent United States foreign policy.

Biological Engineering is a diverse field that provides opportunities for students to pursue a wide variety of occupations in industries, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, prosthetics, food processing, environmental consulting, and precision farming. In our degree students are constantly tasked with adapting to new and dynamic situations. Focus areas include biomedical, bioenvironmental, bioprocessing, or biomechanical. Many graduates go on to medical school or graduate school, but others will work in consulting, government agencies, biomedical firms, or even technical sales.

Establish a solid foundation for your career by focusing on the drivers of marketing, including the trends that cause existing and new markets to develop. You will have the chance to enroll in innovative courses such as “Marketing on the Internet” and “Sports Marketing.” Additionally, the department participates in the International Business Seminars program, allowing students to travel to Europe and learn best business practices from several firms and companies.

Digital Marketing: Students integrate their knowledge of promotions, marketing research, consumer behavior, and statistics with exposure to digital marketing content distribution platforms to equip themselves with the practical knowledge and skillsets necessary to succeed in the growing and in-demand professions of digital and social media marketing.

Wetland Science: Choose this concentration if you would like to specialize in wetlands, which are valued as wildlife and fish habitat, for maintaining water quality, and for economic benefits.

The Bachelor of Music prepares you for a career as a professional musician or composer. It also serves as the gateway to graduate-level studies in music.

From companion animals to livestock, study all aspects of the animal industries, including production, processing, and nutrition, as well as care of companion animals and preparation for veterinary school. Pre-veterinary Medicine—Wildlife and Fisheries: Through a partnership with the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, students majoring in animal, dairy, and poultry sciences or natural resource ecology and management have the opportunity to participate in the 3+1 program. This allows you to use your first year of veterinary school credits toward your final year in the College of Agriculture, giving you the opportunity to earn both a BS and DVM degree in seven years.

Economics is the study of how people choose to use resources. These can include the time and talent people have available; the land, buildings, equipment, and other tools on hand; and the knowledge of how to combine them to create useful products and services. Economics will provide you with analytical skills and a breadth of economic understanding that prepares you for a career in business or government or for further study in economics, law, or public policy.

This program will provide you with the knowledge and skills to participate in the environmental community in areas such as federal and local environmental regulations, land use planning, soil and water conservation, coastal restoration, and agricultural management.

Policy Analysis: Learn about the role and scope of state and federal regulatory agencies, environmental laws and regulations, mechanisms for implementation of regulations, compliance with regulations, environmental permitting, the role of risk assessment in decision making, and land use planning.
