Through collaborations with urban and suburban schools in the Baton Rouge and surrounding area, students participate in varied experiences that provide perspective and a basis from which to make career choices.

Spanish is one of the three most widely spoken languages in the world and the second most widely used language in the United States. Mastering the Spanish language and culture can give you a critical edge in virtually any U.S. business or private firm, as well as in law and government service.

Secondary Education
If you plan to teach high school Spanish, the concentration in secondary education will prepare you for teaching certification while you pursue your degree in Spanish.

This major emphasizes a hands-on approach to understanding human behavior and offers exceptional preparation for graduate study in psychology or medical school. You can develop the skills you need in areas such as biological, clinical, cognitive, and school psychology. The department also has an extremely active honors program through which you can work with faculty mentors on meaningful research.

Management will help you explore the many facets of organizational behavior, industrial and labor relations, as well as an appreciation and understanding of global management practices, among others. You can pursue these areas further through the human resource management concentration, international management concentration, or strategic leadership concentration.

Learn about nutrition and the research, development, packaging, and distribution of our food supply. At LSU, you will participate in hands-on learning, professional development, and faculty-led research to prepare for a health-related profession or career in business or agriculture.

Dietetics: Gain the knowledge necessary to take the exam to become a registered dietician. Registered dietitians provide expertise in nutrition and food service management in a variety of settings.

Political Communication

Study ways to improve crops and discover new crossbreeds of plants, and learn the latest approaches to the cultivation, marketing, and processing of ornamental plants, fruits, and vegetables. Topics include soil science and conservation, ornamentals and grasses, urban landscape management, sustainable horticulture, and much more.

The Bachelor of Arts is a broad-based liberal arts degree with an emphasis in the study of music. You can use this degree to explore music alongside other areas of study including business, engineering, arts administration, digital media, and jazz.

Economics is the study of how people choose to use resources. This program will provide you with the knowledge and skills to participate in the environmental community in areas such as federal and local environmental regulations, land use planning, soil and water conservation, coastal restoration, and agricultural management.

Environmental Analysis and Risk Management: Gain knowledge and practical understanding of chemistry, microbiology, land use planning, site investigation techniques, risk assessment, and federal and local environmental regulation.
