Music education students at CCPA come from all over the world to experience Chicago and develop their music teaching practice. Students enroll in degree plans with a choral or instrumental focus but all music education majors develop well-rounded knowledge and skills through methods courses in general music, choir, band, and orchestra as well as techniques and conducting courses. Students have access to a wide spectrum of school settings that help them relate real-life teaching situations to their coursework.

The Master’s in College Counseling and Student Affairs program prepares graduate students seeking to enter the workforce as college counselors and employees in student affairs in offices in higher education. The intensive, field-based MA in college counseling and student affairs curriculum includes particular emphasis on preparing students for positions that serve university and community college students on urban campuses with diverse student populations.

The human resource management major at Roosevelt is unique given our small class sizes, student-focused faculty and real-world curriculum that prepare you for the demands of today's fast-changing HR landscape. Our faculty teach both theory and the real-world skills necessary to be a successful HR professional. You will get hands-on education that uses real-world cases, project, and experiential exercises to simulate precisely the types of activities you will do as a future HR professional, so that when you graduate you are prepared for the demands of the profession.

Marketing Communications is the term for the broad field that includes social and digital marketing, advertising, public relations, promotional marketing, and numerous other forms of persuasive communications activities. Students majoring in the Digital Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations degree are prepared for entry-level work in any area of this broad field. Through course work and a required professional internship in the field, students are prepared for entry-level work in any area of this broad field, including agencies, organizations and companies in advertising, public relations and marketing.

The BA in Music and Computing is an interdisciplinary degree that provides students with the specific tools and methods to study both music composition and computer programming. The goal of this program is for students to create and explore music software, music authoring systems, algorithmic composition, video game music and similar projects.

This is a joint degree where students take approximately equal credit hours from each discipline (Music Composition and Computer Science), in addition to general studies.

The first sustainability bachelor’s degree in the Chicago area, this program prepares graduates to tackle the sustainability problems of the 21st century. Using insights and analytic methods from science, policy, and environmental justice, students explore natural and social ecosystems, recognize national and international implications of sustainability issues, and apply their knowledge on behalf of campus and community projects.

Mathematics is a beautiful and interesting subject that will help you gain analytical and problem-solving skills. Mathematicians are problem solvers that combine a deep knowledge of statistics, numbers, functions, shapes, structures and their interconnections to solve real world problems. Mathematics opens the doors to many promising career paths. A study by PayScale shows that the top 15 highest-earning college degrees have a common element: mathematics. Popular mathematics careers include teaching, data analyst, quantitative analyst, computer science, data science, operations research, biomathematics, cryptography, and finance.

Nuclear medicine technologists are involved in direct patient care. Nuclear medicine provides unique information about the structure and function of virtually every major organ system within the body. It is the ability to characterize and quantify physiologic function at the molecular level that separates nuclear medicine from other imaging modalities. Nuclear medical technologists work with physicians to administer radioactive nuclides for the diagnosis of disease and to provide therapy. Most nuclear medicine technologists work in hospitals. This is a 3+1 program in which the first three years of course work are completed at Roosevelt University with the final year completed at the clinical affiliate site.

This degree teaches students to use technology to gather, analyze and interpret data, facilitating decision-making. Students will learn methods, tools and algorithms used in modern data analysis and analytics.

The BA in Early Childhood Education (ECHD) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children from birth to third grade. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to a combination of Illinois teaching credentials.
