Radiology technologists are involved in direct patient care. Radiographers position imaging equipment and adjust controls to produce diagnostic quality images and assist radiologists in performing specialized imaging procedures. Radiographers work in a variety of settings including hospitals, diagnostic centers, doctor's offices, clinics, and orthopedic practices. Certified radiology technologists may go on to be trained in other advanced imaging techniques, including Computed Axial Tomography (CAT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), mammography, and interventional radiography. Actuarial science applies probability theory and risk management to the areas of life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, pension plans, and other employee benefit plans. Risk analysts and actuaries, who evaluate the long-term financial impact of these plans on both the issuing company and the purchaser or beneficiary of the plan, are employed by insurance companies, consulting firms, large corporations and governmental agencies. The major in actuarial science emphasizes the mathematical theory that underlies risk evaluation.

Roosevelt University is proud to offer one of the only social justice studies majors in the country. This interdisciplinary major, housed in the Department of Economics, provides practical and theoretical tools from the fields of economics, history, political science, and sociology to examine theories of and movements for social justice, particularly economic justice. Recent graduates work in government, non-for-profit organizations, and the private sector. Others have gone on to graduate school. Extensive training in writing, research and critical thinking prepare students well for any post-graduate path they choose to take.

The Jazz and Contemporary Music program develops students' improvisation abilities and helps each student realize her or his unique voice as a performer and as an arranger/composer.

The MA in Special Education (SPED) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children and adolescents with learning and intellectual disabilities, severe emotional and behavior disorders, and other disabilities. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. It leads to the Illinois LBS1 teaching credential.

The Bachelor of Arts in Biology is an option for students who want an in-depth humanistic education in biology without completing all of the science and mathematics courses required for the BS in Biology. The biology BA allows students the flexibility to fashion a customized undergraduate experience; for example, completing a double-major or multiple minors.

The Master of Arts degree in General Psychology is a fully online program, providing broad-based training in applied psychology, research, and intervention.
