Popular mathematics careers include teaching, data analyst, quantitative analyst, computer science, data science, operations research, biomathematics, cryptography, and finance.

The MA in Secondary Education (SEED) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of adolescents in grades 9 through 12. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families in the subject areas of biology, business, chemistry, English, history, and math. It provides opportunities to earn a combination of Illinois teaching credentials prior to the completion of the MA degree, including the middle school endorsement.

Established in 1984 to serve and support Chicago's number one industry, the Manfred Steinfeld undergraduate program is a premier four-year hospitality program in Illinois. Named for Manfred Steinfeld, the program's benefactor and chairman and former CEO of Shelby Williams Industries, the Roosevelt program seeks to produce leaders and innovators in hospitality and tourism management. With Chicago as our campus, the curriculum is implemented by an experienced faculty and staff from the nation's hospitality, event planning and tourism industries. Students include a lively mix of entering freshmen, transfer students and a representative international population.

Students who earn their Bachelor of Arts Degree in Exercise, Nutrition and Health Science are provided the health education needed to become future leaders in the sport, exercise and nutrition industry.

Roosevelt University is proud to offer one of the only social justice studies majors in the country. This interdisciplinary major, housed in the Department of Economics, provides practical and theoretical tools from the fields of economics, history, political science, and sociology to examine theories of and movements for social justice, particularly economic justice. Recent graduates work in government, non-for-profit organizations, and the private sector. Others have gone on to graduate school. Actuarial science applies probability theory and risk management to the areas of life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, pension plans, and other employee benefit plans. Students who seek a graduate degree in actuarial science may have earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics, finance, economics, computer science, or other related fields.
