Radiology technologists are involved in direct patient care. Radiographers position imaging equipment and adjust controls to produce diagnostic quality images and assist radiologists in performing specialized imaging procedures. Certified radiology technologists may go on to be trained in other advanced imaging techniques, including Computed Axial Tomography (CAT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), mammography, and interventional radiography. The intensive, field-based curriculum prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse individuals and families.
