Roosevelt University is proud to offer one of the only social justice studies majors in the country. This interdisciplinary major, housed in the Department of Economics, provides practical and theoretical tools from the fields of economics, history, political science, and sociology to examine theories of and movements for social justice, particularly economic justice. Recent graduates work in government, non-for-profit organizations, and the private sector. Others have gone on to graduate school. Extensive training in writing, research and critical thinking prepare students well for any post-graduate path they choose to take.

Nuclear medicine technologists are involved in direct patient care. Nuclear medicine provides unique information about the structure and function of virtually every major organ system within the body. It is the ability to characterize and quantify physiologic function at the molecular level that separates nuclear medicine from other imaging modalities. Nuclear medical technologists work with physicians to administer radioactive nuclides for the diagnosis of disease and to provide therapy. Most nuclear medicine technologists work in hospitals. This is a 3+1 program in which the first three years of course work are completed at Roosevelt University with the final year completed at the clinical affiliate site.

Students who earn their Bachelor of Arts Degree in Exercise, Nutrition and Health Science are provided the health education needed to become future leaders in the sport, exercise and nutrition industry.

The Bachelor of Musical Arts degree is an interdisciplinary program with intentional curricular flexibility. It is designed for the student with a strong academic background who wishes to combine the study of music with an emphasis in a second field outside music. Students' programs are individualized according to their interests and culminate in a senior project that melds their work in music with their second discipline.

The Orchestral Studies program prepares students majoring in a woodwind, brass, or string instrument, harp or percussion for a career as orchestral musicians.

Through deep and precise reading in philosophical texts, students not only interrogate essential human questions, they learn thinking, writing and speaking skills that they may use in service of social justice. Philosophy students often go on to careers in law, education, medicine, business, science, mathematics, ministry, social work and many other areas.

Mathematics is a beautiful and interesting subject that will help you gain analytical and problem-solving skills. Mathematicians are problem solvers that combine a deep knowledge of statistics, numbers, functions, shapes, structures and their interconnections to solve real world problems. Mathematics opens the doors to many promising career paths. A study by PayScale shows that the top 15 highest-earning college degrees have a common element: mathematics. Popular mathematics careers include teaching, data analyst, quantitative analyst, computer science, data science, operations research, biomathematics, cryptography, and finance.

The human resource management major at Roosevelt is unique given our small class sizes, student-focused faculty and real-world curriculum that prepare you for the demands of today's fast-changing HR landscape. Our faculty teach both theory and the real-world skills necessary to be a successful HR professional. You will get hands-on education that uses real-world cases, project, and experiential exercises to simulate precisely the types of activities you will do as a future HR professional, so that when you graduate you are prepared for the demands of the profession.

The Music Composition program challenges individual composers to hone their creative skills. Students will cultivate the ability to use all of the building blocks of music to create a diverse portfolio of original works, gain necessary professional skills, and explore a wide variety of musical styles as they develop their unique voices.
