The Master’s in College Counseling and Student Affairs program prepares graduate students seeking to enter the workforce as college counselors and employees in student affairs in offices in higher education. The BA in Early Childhood Education (ECHD) prepares teacher candidates to address the learning and socio-emotional needs of children from birth to third grade. This intensive, field-based program prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds. It leads to a combination of Illinois teaching credentials.

Roosevelt's program is the only bachelor's level histotechnology training program in the state of Illinois. The affiliation with Northwestern Memorial Hospital is exclusive and only current RU students are eligible to apply for the clinical training portion of the program.

This program is designed for those who are interested in clinical practice at the master’s level. In Illinois (and many other states), completion of this program qualifies graduates to apply for licensure as a professional counselor (LPC, and later LCPC). The program is 60 semester hours that provides broad-based training in psychological assessment and intervention as well as in the theory and research that supports these practices. This program also provides appropriate preparation for those wishing to apply to PsyD and PhD programs in clinical psychology.
