The Bachelor of Arts in Art – History offers undergraduate students specific knowledge about art and architecture from prehistory to the present. The curriculum provides a foundation for the understanding of art, in all of its various forms, and encourages the development of visual literacy. Contextual, as well as stylistic approaches, provide exposure to different methodologies involved in the study of visual material. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):

The Bachelor of Science degree in Senior Living Management is an interdisciplinary program that merges hospitality, gerontology and healthcare services. The Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida is located in the heart of the theme park capital of the world – Orlando, Florida. Orlando is home to eight major theme parks and four themed water parks. In addition, there are dozens of smaller attractions that feature a variety of unique themes. Rosen College has capitalized on this location to develop the world’s only program dedicated to theme park and attraction management. As part of our Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management, students are able to take a series of courses in a specialized track of study for those interested in careers in the theme park and attractions industry.

Undergraduate Extended Accelerator Pathway (3-Term) - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies – Diversity Studies
The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies – Diversity Studies Track is a broadly based interdisciplinary curriculum. The degree's interdisciplinary nature provides students with tools that can be applied across a spectrum of science, social behavior, and humanities, while foregrounding the importance of analyses with a focus on diversity and inclusion in such categories as race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, and ability. Students pursuing a career in social justice or advocacy work, involvement in international nonprofit organizations or diverse research and journalistic careers, as well as those seeking preparation for graduate study in related areas will enjoy the flexibility of this program. This track requires students to take two unique IDS Core courses, 30 credit hours of courses related to theory and representations/experiences of diversity, and select from a number of related minors such as the Women's and Gender Studies or Diversity and Social Inequality.

The Plant Science Track is designed to give students a diverse understanding of the plant world and their impact on human lives and environment. Plant Kingdom, Plant Anatomy, Plant Physiology and Plant Taxonomy courses will position students to find jobs in biotechnology labs, state parks and as field technicians as well as teaching in high schools or obtaining internships in other botanical institutions.
