The Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing and Rhetoric provides students with in-depth training in the interrelated fields of writing, rhetoric, and literacy studies, preparing them for a range of writing-focused jobs that involve the analysis, creation, editing, adaptation, and/or coordination of written, digital, and multimedia texts.

The B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Education program at UCF prepares you to impact a diverse population of young children and families using research-based, developmentally appropriate practices. The School of Public Administration provides the highest quality undergraduate education for students interested in working in the nonprofit sector. Programs and services develop and enhance management skills essential to public and nonprofit organizations. The school offers an undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nonprofit Management. The program provides opportunities for students to prepare for employment as nonprofit professionals and produces graduates with the management skills and analytical techniques needed for successful careers in nonprofit and related business fields.

The BS in Emergency Management prepares you to become a future emergency management leader through providing a well-rounded curriculum that covers the fundamental skills, theoretical understanding and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry. Your coursework will offer a deeper understanding about how to support organizations and communities in the preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery efforts of disaster situations while emphasizing ethical decision making, resilience and social responsibility.

As an emergency management major, you’ll be required to complete a minor. Many students choose from areas such as public administration, urban and regional planning and nonprofit management. You may also select a minor outside of the School of Public Administration that has been approved by the undergraduate program coordinator. Emergency management classes are offered face-to-face at UCF Downtown, mixed-mode and online. This offers you the flexibility and convenience you need to balance school, work and life.

The Pre- Health Professional Biology Track is designed for students seeking entrance into professional health programs including medicine (MD or DO), veterinary medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.  Students in this track will also be well prepared if they decide to apply to graduate school.  In addition to core Biology courses in Genetics and Molecular & Cellular Biology, this track emphasizes courses in development, physiology, and anatomy.  Moreover, electives like Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Evolution & Medicine as well as lab courses in Anatomy, Genetics and Genomics will give students the background needed to excel in professional school entrance exams (e.g. the MCAT) as well as courses offered in those professional schools.

The undergraduate program in materials science and engineering at UCF is distinguished by offering an outstanding selection of courses taught by excellent instructors who offer students state-of-the-art classroom and research opportunities.

Further, due to the interdisciplinary nature of materials science and engineering, students are encouraged to expand their knowledge across multiple disciplines through the several innovative curriculum and interdisciplinary research facilities and research centers at UCF. These include the Advanced Materials Processing and Analysis Center, the Nanoscience Technology Center, the Florida Solar Energy Center and the Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers. This approach provides a distinct advantage to UCF undergraduates in that they not only understand materials-specific challenges but also have an overall understanding of engineered systems for many applications.
