The B.A in French and Francophone Studies focuses on the study of languages, cultures and literatures in France and in the numerous countries where French is spoken, as the official or second language. It consists of 36 credit hours at the 3000 and 4000 level.

Placement in Modern Language courses is based on one year of high school language being equivalent to one semester of college work. For example, four years of high school French may place the student in the first semester of the third year. Native speakers, or students who have received advanced education in French-speaking societies, may not take lower division French courses. They can, with their advisor's consent, substitute other upper division level courses for FRE 3780 , FRE 3420, FRE 4422, FRE 3760, and FRE 4421.

Event planning is a highly complex and dynamic field that comes with many challenges and opportunities. The BS in Event Management program provides you with the theoretical and practical tools needed to lead the future of the event industry. Our program provides you with a toolbox of resources, best practices and other skills needed to succeed.

Your courses will cover a broad set of skills that prepare you to manage small to large-scale events — from inception to implementation. Plus, you’ll gain greater insight into a wide range of events like fairs, festivals, entertainment and sporting events, meetings and tradeshows. As you progress through your studies, you’ll be ready to break into this fast-paced and rewarding industry from day one.

The journalism B.A. provides students with the skills and knowledge leading to careers in electronic and digital media. It is a limited-access degree program, which means a separate application must be submitted directly to the Nicholson School of Communication in order to be considered for admission.

For students who wish to work as writers, reporters, editors and photographers for the news media, primarily websites, newspapers and magazines.

Composition students will take theoretical and practical courses in music composition as well music history, theory, film and video game composition, piano, conducting and more. They perform in major and minor ensembles, and hear their own compositions played at composition studio recitals.

The composition studio at UCF is small and competitive. Student composers receive an extraordinary amount of personalized instruction and are able to access resources set aside exclusively for their use, including UCF’s state-of-the-art Media Composition Lab.

Students with a B.A. in human communication pursue jobs in a wide range of industries including management, sales, human resources, higher education (admissions and student services), marketing and training. Many students also continue their education in graduate school, law school and business or professional graduate degree programs.

As an electrical engineering major, you’ll revolutionize the way we live. Society depends on electrical engineers to create, design, produce, operate and maintain the world’s equipment and services as well as to solve future life challenges with advances in science and technology.

RF and Microwaves Track
In this track, you’ll have the opportunity to take technical elective courses covering a wide range of topics in applied electromagnetics such as antennas, computational electromagnetics, high-speed circuits and systems, bioelectromagnetics, radar, remote sensing and wireless sensors.

Students must choose one track from the following: General Human Communication, Business and Professional Communication, Health Communication, Interpersonal Communication, or Social Innovation and Activism.

Students completing the Forensic Science - Biochemistry Track B.S. degree will also meet the requirements for ACS certification. This track is designed to align students with specific courses necessary for the examination of DNA and other biochemical evidence.
