To prepare you for the varied career paths within MIS, you may focus your studies on business intelligence, cyber security or opt for breadth in your choice of electives. In addition to our rigorous academic program, students are provided with many opportunities to work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as developing improved flame retardants, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments. As a UD Dietetics major, you'll thrive in an environment where hands-on learning, professionalism, leadership, and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. Students are mentored and taught by faculty who are registered and licensed dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) to support your growth and development, both in and out of the classroom.

Operations and supply management is the critical process within every business that creates, distributes and improves products and services while ensuring the process is streamlined and efficient.

While core operations vary from business to business, key elements include production, inventory planning and control, procurement, sourcing and materials management, project planning and control, distribution and warehouse management, production scheduling, quality assurance and management.

Our state-of-the-art program combines coursework in management and operations planning with hands-on experience through capstone consulting projects. You will take courses from various fields of study in addition to the core set of six operations and supply management courses. Electives allow you to tailor your studies based on your interests, and you may choose concentrations in business process management, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, operations accounting, quality management and supply chain management.

The criminal justice studies major is individualized and students choose the justice path that is right for them. The program is an excellent academic home for students interested in law and legal careers, intelligence, forensic psychology, federal law enforcement, probation and work with at-risk populations in the community.

Economics is a social science and as such an important component of the liberal arts curriculum. It provides a useful background for students interested in careers in public policy, business or finance.

Students who study economics investigate the allocation of scarce resources. The foundation of economics is based on theories of how people, institutions and governments make choices and interact. Some of the topics that a student of economics studies are: pricing, the effects of taxing and regulation by the government, inflation, income distribution and international trade.

Because Economics straddles the worlds of business and social science, the demand for economics majors is strong in both the public and private sector. Economics is also great preparation for graduate school in fields as diverse as business, law, and public policy.

As a computer engineering major, you'll design and upgrade advanced digital and computer-based systems by balancing and integrating the use of hardware components and software: a computer's central processor unit, memory devices, input/output devices and computer networks, operating systems, compilers, and general-purpose programming for specific applications.

You'll enjoy an extensive laboratory experience integrated with coursework that ensures a working knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Upper-level courses combine academics with current technology and computational tools, which enables you to become the complete professional ready to contribute to the engineering profession after graduation by either entering the workforce or pursuing a graduate education.
