As a chemical engineering major, you will apply the principles of multidisciplinary sciences, problem solving, economics, and human relations to develop new products and processes, as well as design, build, and supervise facilities that convert raw materials into products and services for the common good.

Our chemical engineering program will provide you with fundamental science and engineering skills, applied engineering knowledge, and extensive experiential laboratory learning which culminate in a real-world design capstone. You'll be enrolled in a specially designed seminar course that offers an introduction to the division, its faculty, curriculum, opportunities for graduates, and the various policies and procedures necessary for the successful student to follow. This seminar provides information on cooperative education and internship opportunities, as well as extracurricular options. The classes are small, and the attention is as individual as needed. With the help of this seminar, along with the assistance of your knowledgeable adviser, you will discover the area of engineering technology that's right for you.

Computer information systems (CIS) overlaps many other fields, so we prepare our students to face a wide range of challenges. The CIS major has a built-in minor that allows you to choose an area of interest, such as entrepreneurship or financial mathematics, that will greatly enhance your marketability after graduation.

At the University of Dayton, our electronic and computer engineering technology majors prepare for careers in at a variety of tasks including analog and digital design, microprocessor hardware and software applications, electronic controls, automation, engineering sales and support, product design and development, and data communications.

The electronic and computer engineering technology curriculum includes a strong emphasis on computers and applied engineering topics in circuit analysis, analog and digital electronic design, digital communications, digital circuits, microprocessors, software, and data acquisition instrumentation.

Graphic design is an intensive professional degree major that combines art and design foundation courses with the graphic design curriculum and an arts and sciences education.
