The UD School of Education and Health Sciences offers 11 undergraduate degree programs and 11 undergraduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs to help prepare students for careers in education, health, wellness, sport or physical activity. UD SEHS also offers 24 graduate degree programs and 22 graduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs. Computer information systems (CIS) overlaps many other fields, so we prepare our students to face a wide range of challenges. The CIS major has a built-in minor that allows you to choose an area of interest, such as entrepreneurship or financial mathematics, that will greatly enhance your marketability after graduation.

Our students understand the marginalization of women throughout history and across cultures, and celebrate their accomplishments. Our graduates report a greater understanding of how change is brought about in society.

Students have the opportunity to create their own program of study. If you have a specific project in mind or want to study a combination of writing and literature, you can work closely with an adviser to plan a track toward your UD degree.

Environmental biology is a dynamic and growing major which prepares students with the scientific background needed to understand and address the many pressing environmental concerns that exist in the modern world. Our program emphasizes experiential learning and creates opportunities for students to get out of the class room into nature.

There is more than one way to start an engineering career. If you are a hands-on person who enjoys learning by doing, engineering technology may be the pathway for you to become an engineer. Our Mechanical Engineering Technology program offers technical courses that teach you to use creativity and rational thinking to solve problems in design, manufacturing and management, as well as science and mathematics courses that provide you a solid foundation for future studies or career development.

With our small class sizes, faculty members with real-world engineering experience, and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, we utilize hands-on learning to equip students with applied engineering knowledge and skills. Career opportunities for mechanical engineering technology graduates are in mechanical design, computer-aided design, product evaluation and development, manufacturing engineering, computer-aided manufacturing, plant engineering, technical sales, technical service, fluid power, automation, and technical management.

We offer a theatre and dance major that allows for artists to become well-rounded and socially conscious practitioners through experiential learning in all areas. Students can pursue four different concentrations in the major: acting, applied theatre, dance and performance technology, or simply choose theatre studies for a generalist approach.
