You'll be enrolled in a specially designed seminar course that offers an introduction to the division, its faculty, curriculum, opportunities for graduates, and the various policies and procedures necessary for the successful student to follow. This seminar provides information on cooperative education and internship opportunities, as well as extracurricular options. The classes are small, and the attention is as individual as needed. With the help of this seminar, along with the assistance of your knowledgeable adviser, you will discover the area of engineering technology that's right for you.

Once you decide on your engineering academic program, students admitted as Discover Engineering Technology are guaranteed to move into any engineering technology program and students admitted as Discover Engineering are guaranteed to move into any engineering program. If you'd like to move between the engineering technology and engineering programs, you can coordinate with your Student Success adviser on the process to do so! 

This program teaches and instills leadership traits and qualities, so that you may one day lead an organization. Students gain unique skills and experiences related to the military, such as map reading, land navigation, marksmanship, rappelling and much more. At the University of Dayton, our electronic and computer engineering technology majors prepare for careers in at a variety of tasks including analog and digital design, microprocessor hardware and software applications, electronic controls, automation, engineering sales and support, product design and development, and data communications.

The electronic and computer engineering technology curriculum includes a strong emphasis on computers and applied engineering topics in circuit analysis, analog and digital electronic design, digital communications, digital circuits, microprocessors, software, and data acquisition instrumentation.
