MIS brings together the various areas in business and information technology to focus on the process of providing the information necessary for making decisions and conducting business.

Our innovative MIS program is one of the best available as it combines strong business and technical components with real-world experiences. You’ll learn both theory and methodology, allowing you to analyze, design, implement and manage information systems in business settings.

To prepare you for the varied career paths within MIS, you may focus your studies on business intelligence, cyber security or opt for breadth in your choice of electives. Our innovative program integrates a specialization in information management with accounting, finance, marketing and operations to prepare you for today’s fast-paced business environment.

Our students are immersed in a challenging academic experience that combines theory and practice. You begin in the classroom learning the foundations of biology, but quickly find yourself discovering antibiotic-producing bacteria, wading through wetlands, exploring behavioral neuroscience, analyzing real-time physiological data collected on classmates, or studying patterns of evolution in fruit flies.

The criminal justice studies major is individualized and students choose the justice path that is right for them. The program is an excellent academic home for students interested in law and legal careers, intelligence, forensic psychology, federal law enforcement, probation and work with at-risk populations in the community.

Prepare to perform in an opera, musical, recording studio, orchestra, band, chorus, chamber ensemble or as a soloist. Our program will help you refine your abilities in music performance to begin working or pursuing graduate studies after graduation. You will have a multitude of individual and group performance opportunities including solo competitions, workshops, masterclasses, and national and international travel with our ensembles.

As a sociology major you will build awareness for the different types of social inequality that exist, who is negatively impacted, where and how it emerges, and what perpetuates it. Courses will not only shed light on social inequality, but will teach you how to do something about it.

We offer a theatre and dance major that allows for artists to become well-rounded and socially conscious practitioners through experiential learning in all areas. Students can pursue four different concentrations in the major: acting, applied theatre, dance and performance technology, or simply choose theatre studies for a generalist approach.

This program teaches and instills leadership traits and qualities, so that you may one day lead an organization. Students gain unique skills and experiences related to the military, such as map reading, land navigation, marksmanship, rappelling and much more. Environmental biology is a dynamic and growing major which prepares students with the scientific background needed to understand and address the many pressing environmental concerns that exist in the modern world. Our program emphasizes experiential learning and creates opportunities for students to get out of the class room into nature.

Our students look to the deep meanings that great writing reveals about human life, human community and our shared, common home. Our students love to read and become master readers – they leverage that mastery in their professional lives.

Receive comprehensive instruction in musicianship and pedagogy, so you can share your love of music with others by learning to teach instrumental, choral and classroom music to students in grades PK-12. You will learn contemporary methodology to teach a culturally responsive curriculum in any educational setting.
