You will learn the musical and historical elements of jazz by studying jazz improvisation, theory, history, composition and arranging by taking weekly jazz lessons in your area of expertise. You also will perform in one of several jazz ensembles and a faculty-coached combo.

This program teaches and instills leadership traits and qualities, so that you may one day lead an organization. Students gain unique skills and experiences related to the military, such as map reading, land navigation, marksmanship, rappelling and much more. Our B.A. in communication prepares students for professional careers in a wide range of communication fields: broadcasting, communication management, healthcare administration, journalism and public relations. Our graduates succeed in business, education, government, healthcare, international relations, and social and human services. We also offer graduate studies in business communication and law, and an undergraduate certificate in sport communication.

As a sociology major you will build awareness for the different types of social inequality that exist, who is negatively impacted, where and how it emerges, and what perpetuates it. Courses will not only shed light on social inequality, but will teach you how to do something about it.

The Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy program at the University of Dayton is designed for experienced early childhood professionals — such as program administrators, supervisors, teacher leaders and other professionals — who work with and advocate for young children and their families.

Our program will help you refine your abilities in music performance to begin working or pursuing graduate studies after graduation. You will have a multitude of individual and group performance opportunities including solo competitions, workshops, masterclasses, and national and international travel with our ensembles.
