The Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy program at the University of Dayton is designed for experienced early childhood professionals — such as program administrators, supervisors, teacher leaders and other professionals — who work with and advocate for young children and their families.

In addition to our rigorous academic program, students are provided with many opportunities to work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as developing improved flame retardants, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments. Recent graduates are employed as scientists in academia, industry and government, or pursuing postgraduate education.

Students majoring in Management (MGT) will build global leadership competencies by acquiring a deeper understanding of business and cultural practices while at the same time building a leadership skill set. Features of the major:

Upon graduation, students will possess a breadth of business knowledge and abilities enabling them to assess complex problems in business settings and to lead the implementation of effective, innovative, and transformative solutions.

You will learn the musical and historical elements of jazz by studying jazz improvisation, theory, history, composition and arranging by taking weekly jazz lessons in your area of expertise. You also will perform in one of several jazz ensembles and a faculty-coached combo.

Combine your interests in solving business problems, learning new technologies and working with people to create a successful career in management information systems. MIS brings together the various areas in business and information technology to focus on the process of providing the information necessary for making decisions and conducting business.

Our innovative MIS program is one of the best available as it combines strong business and technical components with real-world experiences. You’ll learn both theory and methodology, allowing you to analyze, design, implement and manage information systems in business settings.

To prepare you for the varied career paths within MIS, you may focus your studies on business intelligence, cyber security or opt for breadth in your choice of electives. As a UD Foreign Language Education major, you'll learn the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of our changing and global world — and prepare others to do the same. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to teach French, German or Spanish to students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. 

Business economics is the study of the choices we make when faced with limited resources. It involves analyzing decisions made by firms and individuals, as well as government policy decisions dealing with unemployment, inflation, international trade, income distribution, government regulation, and money and banking systems.

As you study business economics, you will develop a strong foundation through core business courses such as accounting, business ethics, decision sciences, finance, management, management information systems, marketing and operations management. Additional coursework provides an integrated, multifaceted approach to the career world.
