The physical science major meets the needs of the teaching profession, with a flexible curriculum that includes teaching-related experiential learning opportunities. Environmental geosciences tackle society’s most important environmental problems – climate change, energy resources, pollution and hazards – through a detailed and integrated study of major components of the Earth system: atmosphere, hydrosphere and the solid Earth.

Students receive a professional art degree and teacher licensure upon graduation. Licensure is transferable to other states and unlike other art education programs, UD students start working with young people right away.
