The sales emphasis is designed to help prepare marketing students for careers in professional sales, primarily for business-to-business products and services. The B.B.A. in Economics is for students who wish to enter the corporate world directly upon graduation. Students use mathematical and statistical models to analyze issues such as tax structure, deregulation, public welfare spending, mergers, acquisitions, and employee compensation programs.

With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, you will be ready to enter the corporate world or government right after graduation. Not only will you emerge with an understanding of the field itself, you’ll gain skills in statistics, mathematics, organization, research methodology, and verbal and written communication.

What will you learn?
You’ll receive instruction in principles, finance, appraisal, law, land use controls, and investment analysis. You’ll learn about brokerage, lending, corporate positions, and government agencies. On graduation, you will be prepared for examinations for state real estate broker and salesperson licenses.

University of Mississippi French majors study the language, linguistics, literature, history and culture of the French-speaking world. They gain the cultural awareness and intellectual strategies necessary to successfully navigate the interconnected and multicultural world in which we live.

Chemistry investigates the composition, properties, and reactions of all substances. Called “the central science” because it is at the heart of many other scientific endeavors, many advances in the production of medicine, food, technology, and energy have been made possible through chemistry research. Because chemistry is a physical science, chemistry students are expected to have the math background needed to develop strong problem-solving skills.

The B.S. in chemistry provides a rigorous foundation in the principal areas of basic chemistry. This program is designed for students who intend to pursue advanced studies leading to the M.S. or Ph.D. degrees in the chemical or biochemical sciences, or who wish to obtain employment as entry-level professional chemists in industrial or government laboratories.
