Emphasis - General Program
The B.S.E.E. with general emphasis provides broad training in basic and engineering sciences and fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering. The general emphasis provides greater flexibility for a student to choose 14 credit hours of technical elective courses from a breadth of electrical engineering topical areas.

This involves such tasks as determining what result is needed (systems analysis), developing efficient and flexible software to encode the process (algorithm design, programming, and software engineering), and organizing the data needed and generated by the process (data structures and database management). They also learn how to use the technologies of computers, communication technologies, and the control programs work together to effectively achieve the desired results.

The Master of Music is an advanced professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization. The university offers the M.M. with the following emphases:

Emphasis - Music Performance
The M.M. degree with an emphasis in performance is designed to prepare a student to become a professional musician (performing as a pianist, woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrumentalist, or vocalist) and/or prepares him/her for further graduate study or professional training. The performance emphasis can be completed with a concentration (option) in either piano, vocal, or instrumental.

The Master of Science in food and nutrition services degree prepares students for doctoral studies in nutrition, food service management, or hospitality management for postsecondary teaching positions, or for careers in established or emerging clinical or industrial settings. Professional courses provide students with the accounting education required to commence and continue to develop in a wide range of professional accounting careers.

The Department of Mathematics offers a B.S. in mathematics for students who wish to pursue graduate training in mathematics or to undertake careers in mathematically oriented professions. The B.S. degree allows the freedom to pursue mathematical depth in areas such as pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, discrete mathematics, mathematics and computer science, or finance and actuarial science.
