The B.B.A. in Economics is for students who wish to enter the corporate world directly upon graduation. Students use mathematical and statistical models to analyze issues such as tax structure, deregulation, public welfare spending, mergers, acquisitions, and employee compensation programs.

With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, you will be ready to enter the corporate world or government right after graduation. Civil engineers use scientific knowledge and hands-on creativity to solve 21st-century problems: designing for sustainability, safely constructing the built environment, maintaining our aging infrastructure systems, and providing service worldwide to people in great need.

With a civil engineering degree, you could be involved in the design, construction or operation of many critical facilities. This could be anything from highways to high-rise buildings, from bridges to hospitals and airports – just to name a few.

Our civil engineering program will give you the foundation for practice and advanced study in:

• Geotechnical Engineering – looking at the mechanics of minerals, rocks, soil and water to determine what’s required for man-made structures built on or around them.
• Structural Engineering – making sure structures are designed and built to be safe and resilient to environmental stresses.
• Transportation and Construction Management – using engineering skills to oversee transportation and other large projects, in terms of schedule, cost, safety, quality, function and scope.

Emphasis - Chemical Engineering
A degree of M.S. in engineering science with an emphasis in chemical engineering prepares graduates to apply chemical engineering science (transport phenomena, thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, and applied mathematics. It enables them to independently execute complex projects and pursue successful careers in engineering, medicine, law, professional education, public policy, the military, management, and sales.

Philosophy majors consider the questions at the core of human experience - the nature of reality, the extent of human knowledge, the basis of moral and ethical thought and behavior, the resolution of conflict, and the origin of belief. Philosophy is the study of the fundamental ideas underlying every dimension of human life. A major in philosophy helps one to think clearly, communicate persuasively, engage in moral reasoning, and formulate a coherent approach to life. Typically, philosophy majors go on to graduate school, law school, medical school, theological studies, or careers in business.

The Department of Modern Languages offers the M.A. in modern languages with emphases in French, German, linguistics, Spanish, and teaching English as a second language (TESOL).
