The objective of the M.Accy. is to provide students with greater breadth and depth in accounting education. The purpose of this program is to provide students with the knowledge and background necessary for entry into the profession and to enable them to continue to grow and develop within the profession.

The major in computer science for the B.A. degree offers a flexible curriculum that enables the study of computer science to be combined with studies in other areas of the liberal arts and sciences. The Master of Accountancy & Data Analytics program offers specialization in data analytics paired with broad graduate-level accounting education. In this program, students are prepared for careers in the data age as they gain hands-on experience in data analytics and cutting-edge technologies. The program requires five accountancy and taxation courses, three data analytics courses, and two accountancy electives.

Emphasis - Hydrology and Comp Hydroscience
A M.S. in engineering science with an emphasis in computational hydroscience and engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work.

The M.S. in sport and recreation administration provides advanced education and vocational opportunities to develop leisure service delivery skills and evaluation or research competencies for students committed to careers in leisure, sport, recreation, health, tourism, and/or research. Students choose either a 1) thesis, 2) special event planning, or 3) internship based on their education, experience, and career goals.

Chinese majors at the University of Mississippi study the language, linguistics, literature, history, and culture of China. They gain the cultural awareness and intellectual strategies necessary to navigate the interconnected and multicultural world in which we live.

The B.A. in Southern studies involves the interdisciplinary study of the American South. The program brings together faculty members from the humanities and social sciences to explore the importance of region as a context of human experience. Through a variety of disciplines, including African American studies, anthropology, art, history, literature, music, politics, religion, and sociology, Southern studies seeks to investigate the challenges and contributions of the region, in order to situate the South in the fabric of American life. The undergraduate program teaches students both knowledge about the people, past and present, of the American South and a variety of techniques about studying those people.
